Cordes Junction

I am a former student of Mayer High School. I went here during my freshman year, and it was absolutely awful. There is countless discrimination towards those who are of the African-American race from students, bullying is a major problem, a majority of the teachers taught poorly, especially in the science and mathematics departments of this school. Typically, from my experience (last year,) about half of the students are friendly to newcomers and some are not, which does appear typical but I know that people are bound to be picked on and pushed to the last of their wits here.

3/10. Did it get me sober? Yeah, through force. Did I learn HOW to stay sober, and balance real life? Absolutely not. Nancy was an excellent therapist and changed my life, as did my fellow students, but the staff and admin were punitive, cold, and often prejudiced, especially to to the LGBTQ community.
