Following a heavy snowstorm, the staff allowed the children onto the playground, where snow and ice piled up dangerously. That evening, my son confided in me that he had broken his glasses. He recounted a startling incident where a piece of ice struck the back of his head, causing him to hit his forehead due to the sheer force of the blow. It's disheartening to note that Child Protective Services (CPS) and the Department of Child Services (DCS) had undercover personnel present at the school. Yet, they failed to provide my son with medical assistance or even notify me about this alarming incident.Just a few days later, my son developed a fever. Thankfully, he was prescribed antibiotics to ward off any potential infection that might have arisen from the head trauma. It is incredibly frustrating to see CPS and DCS readily pointing fingers at parents for faults, all the while exhibiting a level of negligence and abuse that seems far more concerning than the cases they investigate. The environment at the school is equally troubling, leaving much to be desired in terms of care and responsibility.
