3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAustinville has one of the most caring staffs of any school I've ever seen. We truly love our students, and it shows in our compassion for them (providing food, coats, clothes, funeral costs for a sibling of a student), in our teaching (just walk down the halls and listen to the teachers as they teach!), and in the morale of the faculty. We are friends, as well as coworkers. We are led by a caring principal who provides whatever supplies and training we need, then trusts us to do our job. It is a joy and a pleasure to work with these professionals, and to be able to teach such a precious student body. I am blessed to work here!Teacher Review13y ago3 Reviews - Banks-Caddell Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has been a beautiful and outstanding example in bullying, exclusion, and ineptitude! Bullying from students goes completely unpunished by teachers, and bullying from teachers is encouraged! I've gotten to spend three whole years watching my kid be spoken down to and treated like a massive problem all because she has parents with tattoos and colored hair. That doesn't even begin to scratch the incapability or simple lack of care from the staff. My kids big problem? They talk a lot. Who would've thought a first grader talks a lot. However the kids that actively bully her and held her hand down and cut her finger open? Well they're just being kids.I'm begging you, unless you're a carbon copy of the American dream family (despite it being the poorest school in the district?) PLEASE send your kid ANYWHERE else, even if you live right across the street. I've never met a less kind or caring principal or staff when it comes to parental involvement, discipline, or any care of the children in their school. Oh yeah, and don't participate in the fund raisers, even if your kid sells the most, they'll give the grand prize they promised to another kid and then give yours a dusty dollar tree toy from storage! I speak from experience.Parent Review2mo ago7 Reviews - Julian Harris Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my children have attended CGE. Our current child is in 3rd grade and excelling in every subject. This is a 5 star school with 5 star teachers. Both of our children were invited to the magnet school. We remained at our neighborhood school and have never regretted it. They are both advanced and doing great. The school lunch program could improve, however I do believe that is an ongoing public school issue in general.Parent Review13y ago3 Reviews
