Julian Harris Elementary School

I have no idea why the ratings from this school are not higher. These teachers and administrators work tirelessly for their students. I cannot say enough good things about this school!! WMES is awesome!!!

Austinville has one of the most caring staffs of any school I've ever seen. We truly love our students, and it shows in our compassion for them (providing food, coats, clothes, funeral costs for a sibling of a student), in our teaching (just walk down the halls and listen to the teachers as they teach!), and in the morale of the faculty. We are friends, as well as coworkers. We are led by a caring principal who provides whatever supplies and training we need, then trusts us to do our job. It is a joy and a pleasure to work with these professionals, and to be able to teach such a precious student body. I am blessed to work here!

West Decatur is a wonderful school where learning is occurring daily. Teachers are dedicated to all students learning. The principal is excited and willing to work in what ever area is needed.

My two boys currently going here, the principal there shows favoritism towards my boys I’m not sure why , ever since my boys have been attending this school, I really thought this school was going to be great for my boys but it’s the principal & teachers that makes me feel uncomfortable everytime I drop my boys off, because it’s the energy they give , like the awkward looks they give me it’s not so welcoming like the other school my boys attended before , I’m not comfortable with them being there any longer this will be their last year attending

Both of my children have attended CGE. Our current child is in 3rd grade and excelling in every subject. This is a 5 star school with 5 star teachers. Both of our children were invited to the magnet school. We remained at our neighborhood school and have never regretted it. They are both advanced and doing great. The school lunch program could improve, however I do believe that is an ongoing public school issue in general.

Cornerstone Christian School is a blessing for our family. Because of the small size of classes, teachers are able to give full attention to each child, this shows on their high academic scores. We love that this school is faithful to God and teaches our children Bible and how to follow the Lord and trust Him. Kids have a great value of friendship, they are very respectful to each other, teachers and school staff, you do not see this kind of relationship in public schools. CCS it is a second family for us! Highly recommended this school!
