Absolutely love this school. My son will be heading to Middle School in the fall and I will miss BPE so much. They have helped him grow so much and have worked with him through his anxiety issues in exceptional ways. I am so thankful for this school and their staff

I don't have the words to describe how sorry we are to have moved to Bayport. The taxes are exorbitant, and we've had to send our kids to private schools to escape the bullies in the classroom, in the administration, and in the special ed department. Years ago when my first child attended JWY, the homework load was beyond ridiculous. My second child now attends, and the HW load is very reasonable. Most of our kids' teachers have been good and very kind, but there are still some who disregard IEP accommodations and can't be bothered to post HW assignments online for parents to check. Leadership in this school is terrible. There is a high turnover of principals, but unfortunately, the assistant principal has not been booted. She's generally quick to issue detentions to boys without investigating claims made by female accusers. The girl who spread a vicious lie about my special ed son -- which led to his detention/suspension and brought the police to my house -- was never punished. Sweeping these offenses under the rug teaches kids that they can get away with anything, especially if they have family members who work in the district, which far too many do. We're out of here by year's end, hopefully before.
