6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEveryone who has graduated from Lamar High School is a professional in the career world: Physicians- MDs- Lawyers etc. I did not go to school there but the people that I know who graduated from there are earning 6 figures & up. The area is nice - near everything. If I went to a public school, I’d definitely choose Lamar High School.Other Review2mo ago23 Reviews - Pershing Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am extremely disappointed with the administration at this school. My son was involved in a situation where he felt completely unheard and dismissed by school leadership. Rather than taking the time to listen to all sides fairly, it felt as though assumptions were made without fully considering his perspective. As a parent, it is heartbreaking to watch your child leave a meeting feeling like his voice does not matter. Every student deserves to be treated with respect and given an equal opportunity to be heard.I attended this school years ago, and it was a very different place. Unfortunately, the administration today does not reflect the standards I remember. Student behavior has declined, and the way concerns are handled leaves much to be desired. My son's experience has left me questioning how many other students may feel ignored or unsupported when they need help the most. I hope the school takes steps to ensure that all students are treated fairly and that parents' concerns are taken seriously.Parent Review1mo ago35 Reviews - Roberts Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI generally enjoyed my time here, but I would suggest that the parent(s) give the child extra education, as the school material is generally too easy and your child might have difficulty in a good middle school.Student Review9y ago19 Reviews - Check out schools near University.

"It seems like many of the dog parents know each other. There are more dogs being walked around here than most places I’ve lived. It’s easy to meet people here. I’m a regular visitor here but I lived here decades ago and really miss it. There is something for everyone here and the area is very diverse. The museum & dining scene is incomparable."

"I have lived in Houston's Museum District for what is approaching 20 years. The quality of life is superb and the access to some of Houston's best amenities is outstanding."

"We have both lived and worked in this area for many years. It is 5 to 10 minutes from downtown or the Galleria area. We are 2 minutes from the Museum of Fine Arts, many fine restaurants and entertainment. The Medical Center is 5 minutes away. St. Thomas University is minutes away. The train stops close and you can get to Reliant Stadium or Toyota Center. Trade in your commute time into quality of life entertainment."
