4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think that this school has excellent opportunities, This school provides several programs to prepare students for college, and many advanced courses. During my four years here this school has proved to be able to provide different pathways depending on what you want to do for a career after high school. Every complaint that can be had, is because there are always going to be some bad students, and some bad teachers. I personally have never had bad teachers here, but other students say otherwise.Student Review1y ago16 Reviews - Nicollet Junior High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHey, so this school is kind of a nightmare and i'm not afraid to say it. I'm in 8th grade currently, and no one manages anything there. There's really no punishment for bullies, because the kids who do that just act really nice in front of the teachers so when we tell the teachers; "(insert name here) is bullying me" they don't believe it or they don't do anything in their action. It's honestly really sad. And just this year they changed a lot of the rules which i think is unnecessary. We don't have much freedom anymore. 1) -we cant bring food outside the lunchroom. (people don't finish their food. + no sharing food) 2) -no backpacks. (backpacks are usually cheaper, like the ones you can buy at 5 below, dollar tree, and other cheap places. But binders (especially the ones that are recommenced are pretty pricey. Plus, if this school is worried about weapons and firearms you can literally fit a gun in a binder AND backpack. AND if you have your backpack THEY will actually take it away.)3) -we only have 7 bathroom passes for the whole quarter. (just doesn't make any sense.) 4) no phones during the day not even passing time, plus when we have a ACTUAL LOCK DOWN we have the "phones away rule" even though they're literally an active shooter in the building.. you have to wait 10 minutes but still. ( i have no problem with having no phones out but i think this is too far. ) i can list way more.I've already said it but this school also has a huge bullying problem, last year it was really bad but i'm sure all the fighting will come back this year. There honestly were so many fights last year (and i almost was gonna get jumped by a kid who was chasing me down.) I have been bullied severely here.-I've been started at, threatened, almost punched, had to deal with mental abuse. people have made me so sick of this school. And tons of my friends, other people i don't know, they are just not being heard. I can't believe that this school is like this. You never feel like you belong there. And we are SICK of feeling like this, we feel horrible, we don't wanna stay quiet. I can speak for a lot of people here. I hate this school.thank you, -Student Of NMS.Student Review2y ago6 Reviews - Sky Oaks Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAll three of my children have/or are still attending this wonderful school. Every staff member is fabulous! Drew Goeldner in his 2nd year at SO is doing a magnificent job. Everyone from the custodians (Terry and Troy), lunch ladies (Tracy and company) Project kids teachers (Nancy and crew) and office staff (the wonderful Nancy Peralta) are top notch. And of course the classroom teachers are the best! Yes, it is very diverse, but this is the real world - don't you want your child to be real-world ready? I am proud that my children have friends of many religions and nationalities. Sky Oaks is a great place to be!Parent Review11y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Summit Ln E.

"Good places to walk around ponds/lakes- but not many dog parks. If you do go to a park, it’s not well maintained."

"I don’t have a dog. But the people that walk them seem to have control over them. They are all on leashes There are a lot of dogs in my building. I’m in the dog building. The dogs are pretty quiet compared to the kids running up and down the hallway. "
