What Locals Say about Mendota Heights

  • Jennymarkert
"Park-like setting .... beautiful old trees! Quiet and safe..... unique houses with space between them. Super easy access to both downtown and the airport. "
  • Kelby W.
"We enjoy block parties and movies in the park. This is a very active community! There are also festivals that are fun for the whole family. "
  • James.kolar
"Older community. No parks, little opportunity for property appreciation. No community center. Backwards city council and mayor. Traffic too fast. Sibley high school is a mess. "
  • Kelby W.
"Beautiful, serene, great neighbors, good public services, we love having Saint Thomas Academy and Visitation School here!"
  • Paula C.
"I do not have children but I’ve lived here for over 30 years and know that this is a very safe neighborhood"
  • Eric A.
"the neighborhood is centrally located with good access to major freeways, and MSP airport. It is convenient to downtown St. Paul and not bad for Minneapolis. Bus service is limited. and there are few sidewalks. "
  • Kala B. C.
"Easy to commute to both St. Paul and Minneapolis...however the light rail or metro does not go further East than Fort Snelling."
  • Dggreenfield
"I really live in Mendota Heights. It has a small town feel but is close to downtown St Paul. I love the neighborhood. "
  • julian r.
"It's been a while since I've seen a neighborhood where the kids play outside all the time and the neighbors get together for diners and BBQs, but this is the kind of neighborhood this is. Lots of families with kids and retired people. Awesome place to live and close to many main attractions-- Downtown Minneapolis, Saint Paul, MOA, Excel Energy......"
  • Kelley
"I've lived here for 1 year and really love it. Access 494, 35E & 55 is within 2 minutes - so very easy access to multiple highways. Its quiet, no crime, feel totally comfortable going for walks at night. Great blacktop walking trails. Lots of mature trees."
