Nicollet Junior High School

I loved this school! Not a single bad teacher. Lots of diversity and kindness. I had teachers that would help me with anything. Awesome playground and cafeteria. They have lots of opportunities like student council, Peer leaders, Project kids, Patrol and jobs. Great location for all the neighborhoods close by in Burnsville. The teachers just have so much want for a good education for all students and staff. I loved all of the specialist classes like Gym, Music, Digital learning, Library and Art class.

All three of my children have/or are still attending this wonderful school. Every staff member is fabulous! Drew Goeldner in his 2nd year at SO is doing a magnificent job. Everyone from the custodians (Terry and Troy), lunch ladies (Tracy and company) Project kids teachers (Nancy and crew) and office staff (the wonderful Nancy Peralta) are top notch. And of course the classroom teachers are the best! Yes, it is very diverse, but this is the real world - don't you want your child to be real-world ready? I am proud that my children have friends of many religions and nationalities. Sky Oaks is a great place to be!

I am forever grateful for the community, support, and education we experienced at Vista View! I have been in education for nearly two decades and have never met a better principal and staff. Dr. Pohl, Ms. Tucci, Mrs. Steeg, Mrs. Gandrud, Ms. Houtman, and Ms. Podratz are just an handful of teachers who have made a profound, positive impact on our son’s life. In every grade level he was pushed to work hard and do his best all while having fun. I am blown away by all he has learned. Not only are the academics top notch, but the strong focus on social emotional intelligence is what I truly appreciate. There is a commitment to being respectful learners and building community through kindness. Whenever there as an issue (which honestly was rare) it was handled with compassion and as a learning experience for all. We could not have asked for more! Without hesitation, I would recommend Vista View to any family!

I have had nothing but great experiences with Echo Park Elementary. My child has been academically advanced and their teachers have been challenged with keeping up with them, and they have done a wonderful job. My child is excited to attend school each day, and has made many friends at the school. The school provides many community opportunities such as a school carnival, a fun run, playground meetups, monthly food resources, etc. They have the right balance of active play alongside technology resources. We find this school community very friendly and welcoming.

After visiting 12 different daycare centers we knew this one was the one. It was a mix of our top choices, Primrose and Tutor Time but because of the price and location we were hesitant to make a decision until we toured Woodpark. After talking to the owner who was the director at the time, I was beyond impressed with the number of years of experience they had to offer. The curriculum and the knowledge of childcare was enough for us to give it a try for a day to see how my daughter who came from a in home daycare would react. After that day we decided to enroll her there and even though it took a while for her to adjust we had the whole staff being fully supportive and patient with the transition for my daughter and us as parents who were new to centers. She's been there ever since and we know she loves it so much that in the mornings she looks for her clothes and shoes so that daddy can drop her off at her school. Now we're expecting baby #2 and we already have him on the waiting list to ensure that he goes to this daycare/school. We are very happy to have found a place that is locally owned and run by staff that has years of experience.

Good Shepherd is everything we were looking for and more! My daughter started early (4 going into Kindergarten) and was reading within a few months of school starting. She's now in 1st grade and reading chapter books! The way they teach is top-tier and you are definitely getting a high quality education.We also enjoy the engagement and inclusion of family!
