The key is to find a “For Sale By Owner” because BOTH the buyer and SELLER save because there are little to no Realtor fees (Yes this property checks this box) START SAVING FROM THE BEGINNING!
    When you choose your builder, look for a smaller builder who enjoys building a few custom homes a year, has less overhead expenses, and will be ok with you involved in the process. My Girlfriend and I have more then 25 years of combined experience in the construction industry and are more then willing to help you with contacts and any questions you may have throughout the process.
    Poway has a process called the MDRA which takes 3-6 month to complete but they breakdown the guidelines and its something we can help you through the process if you have questions. During this process you can have your home designed by my girlfriend who is an Architect and can SAVE you TONS of money by not going with a traditional Architect who has Overhead to account for. We also have contacts for a structural engineer that will SAVE you money as well.
    Once your plans are approved, you start the most fulfilling part which is BUILDING and you get to see all your hard work pay off. We have contacts for ALL phases of construction and are willing to share them with you!
