8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school owed me money from pictures I paid for but never received, the teacher everyday made excuses on why she didn't have the money when my husband came to pick up our daughter the day my 13 year old daughter comes to pick up the money she claims that she put the money in the bag and the money is nowhere to be found. Do you know how I feel knowing that I had my kinder girl with the teacher all year.Parent Review9y ago3 Reviews - Harry S Truman High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school allowed my son to be bullied for years. The bully would continously attack my child, openly and would verbally threaten to end his life and still the school gave no consequences to that student and did the bare minimum to help my child feel safe. This school is very unorganized and the principal made promises to my child that she couldn't keep like seating accomodations to help my child feel safe and away from the bully. They have not shown they care for my child nor his mental health. Everyone acknowledges that my child isn't the issue, the bully openly does it and ultimately nothing is done.Parent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Is 181 Pablo Casals

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI can really see that the principal is trying but he needs a more cohesive team. The deans and assistant principals are useless as they fail to truly address issues. Their responses are generalized and tend not to apply to the specific situations. The teachers believe that because they are adults they can talk to the kids anyway they want not knowing that there are kids that will not tolerate the disrespect.Parent Review6y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near Rombout Ave.

"I live near this neighborhood, COOP City, making Pelham Bay Park my back yard. It’s the perfect mix of urban and lots of green areas, including a beach , a huge park and City Island our own fishing town with all the fresh fish you can eat or catch on the Charter Boats that go out daily and nightly. "This is the largest housing development in the country. Coop City has many families of different cultural backgrounds of all ages living here. One can find lots of green spaces and play grounds for kids. Bike path is also available along with basketball and hand ball courts. The elderly also have several exercise outdoor exercise areas for their usage. Coop City also have a couple of elementary, middle, and high school for families with children. In addition, Coop City also have its own police force. As a result, it has a low crime rate."

"You are not really allowed to have dogs in Co-Op City. Rules have changed lately, but you can be fined and evicted for minuscule dog issues. "

"Mostly Middle class people who work for the city lives here. Lots of greenery and wildlife. There are good and not so good areas. Shopping is nearby. It’s like a little city of its own because there aren’t many houses or other buildings nearby. It also has its own police force who does a decent job. There are schools nearby for people with children. I think that everything you may need is here. There are also pt door attendants. "

"It has a suburban feel and I love that it has a mall and other stores that are walking distance. The only thing I had to get used to living here was the fact that the stores closed early and there was only one 24 hour in all of co op, but it's a bit understandable."
