3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI just moved to the area, I am a single mother so my son has to put himself on the bus 3 days a week because I have a decent commute to work. He has a phone so that he can contact me if or when he needs me and so I know when He gets to school. My son missed the bus the other day, not only did I not get contacted immediately that my child was taken to school by someone else, but hours later when I was finally contacted I was basically belittled and made out to be a terrible mom by the assistant principal. I have always made sure to keep in contact with the school in regards to my child and have always been respectful. To get a call hours after your child arrives at school by someone else and to be belittled is something that I don't tolerate. I work hard to provide for my kids and I will not have someone who doesn't know my situation make me out to be a mom who is careless. Today I got a phone call saying social services was contacted in regards to my child. Are you kidding me? Not only has this school year seemed highly unorganized but I have not had a good feeling about this school from the get go. I will be transferring my child elsewhere. I should have followed my gut to begin with and saved myself the trouble.Parent Review8y ago - Luray High School
