    • Kathleen Definis
"People are walking dogs and are courteous about barking and picking up after them. Yards are clean and neighbors are friendly!"
    • Taylor Knox
"It's a city commute and is not very pleasant. I don't like driving in traffic so I don't like commuting "
    • Maggie Mayfield
"I don’t have a commute, so I don’t have to worry about it, ever. When I was working, I had a commute to downtown Denver and it was no big deal at all!"
    • S.G.
"Lots of trails around town. Please cleanup after your dog—it’s a big issue here. Lots of dogs in the Lakewood community."
    • Goombao
"Near where I live, I know the neighborhood well! Close to shopping and services, doctors and restaurants."
    • Latisha Bergen
"I’ve lived in Lakewood my whole life. I love the area! It’s starting to get really busy around the Lakewood area but overall it’s nice on this side. "
    • Lisa R
"The neighborhood seems like a pet friendly area. Lots of dog owners and friendly dogs in the area as well. "
    • Brittany Braun
"Some areas are nice, but crime and violence can happen no matter where you are. Be very aware. Do not leave any personal property in your vehicle and keep your doors locked. "
    • Kevin Foy
"Not long, pretty short. I work close by and it’s been not a 10 minute drive. A lot of construction recently "
    • Sammmm703
"You can walk you dog but some owners don’t control their dogs or pick up after them. Some people leave their dogs all day outside"
    • Zack H
"Dogs are welcomed! Parks, plenty of other friendly dogs in the area, owners often chit chat at parks. "
    • Trulia User
"Lakewood has a unique aura. Filled with character and understanding ….. . It’s a great place to start a family "
    • Norman Gerrard
"Lots of parks and hiking paths. Plus dog parks. However it needs more restaurants and entertainment places."
    • Trulia User
"There are really great parks, especially Belmar, where there is music, other events, the public library, an outdoor museum with old buildings, tons of wildlife and many trails to walk on. “Downtown” Belmar is nice too. Needs more restaurants though, especially on the plaza where Baker Street used to be. "
    • Trulia User
"I visit family every week here and it's a nice and quiet place. I have really enjoyed how peaceful it is in this neighborhood and I would like to stay. It's just getting expensive and I can't afford to pay for everything. I just hope I find something else just as nice or better."
    • Trulia User
"We don't have any because most of us are too worried about keeping our homes with the ever-rising housing costs displacing most of the working class locals "
    • Trulia User
"Not a lot makes my neighborhood unique outside of a few lucky families owning small farms. It's pretty much just like every other neighborhood that the transplants haven't developed just yet so us working class locals can somewhat afford to live here. There are gunshots, dumpy abandoned cars and the occasional loose dog but I'll take that over the neighborhoods filled with giant apartment complexes and Californians "
    • Trulia User
"Belmar Park is 135 acres of natural beauty and wildlife. Plus, the heritage center and outdoor museum, and the amphitheater with concerts and movies. Plus cider days and other events at the park. And Camp Christmas! It’s close to Belmar shopping district, and I love that too. Close to I70 and downtown. "
    • Trulia User
"There's a ton of large trees lining the streets. It's a great neighborhood for families and the houses sit on large lots."
    • Trulia User
"There’s a park close by, a pool close by and the property is on a cul-de-sac. I’ve lived in this neighborhood before, and I would be very happy to live in this neighborhood again."
    • Trulia User
"A great place to live. Mry parents lived there from the day they got married until they died. they always loved taking the dog out for a walk in the summer evenings."
    • Trulia User
"You see dog owners and myself walking dogs often. The dogs are welcome in most everywhere I have traveled with mine. (I can't say there has been anywhere she has not been welcome). I think as long as they are not aggressive you would be able to take them most places with enthusiasm. Even eateries. "
    • Trulia User
"This neighborhood is an older, blue-collar area that feels safe. A lot of residents own dogs and take good care of them (use a leash, pick up waste, etc.). There is lots of good food delivery options and is close to Belmar retail shopping center. 15 minutes to downtown Denver and 15 minutes to foothills. "
    • Trulia User
"That pretty much everybody owns their home everybody’s friendly everybody weighs that you everybody keeps their lawn pretty good the schools are very closer to very good school here is a basketball court and they have baseball games every once in a while or you could walk over there and watch you see some fireworks on the Fourth of July that are really nice to watch the stores are all very close she got banks you got King Soopers you got car washes you got McDonald’s 7-Eleven all that stuff in case you need it and it’s just a really lovely neighborhood to live in"
    • Zealouszell
"This neighborhood is safe, quiet, near great hiking trails, and has lots of friendly people who help each other out. There are two kind gentlemen who shovel the entire neighborhood's sidewalk every time it snows, and even shovel nearby folks driveways. I can't rave enough about how amazing the neighbors are this area. There's no HOA but everyone keeps their houses/lawns decently aesthetic. Lastly, Arizona Place and the surrounding neighborhoods back up to a high school, so you will always see people out walking their dogs. I would highly recommend Lakewood/Green mountain as a place to live, own dogs, raise children, and enjoy nature. "
    • Trulia User
"Neighborhood is friendly and quiet. There's a couple of shopping centers around here especially belmar."
    • Trulia User
"In the past 6 months, I have started to notice the increase in homeless wanderers, in lieu of downtown's city park closure. "
    • Trulia User
"Family neighborhood, lots of kids running around playing. Friendly people. Quiet nights unless it's July 4th. All the kids on my block know each other. Got to watch for people speeding. "
    • Virginia M.
"this is an area of older working folks.everyone stays to themselves. iquiet rather unfriended ly near everything."
    • Jamie F.
"Lots of families, parks, pool, schools, and outdoor activities. The houses are close together so not a lot of privacy."
    • Brenda C.
"I love this area. Great people and enjoy the local restaurants and shopping. Walking around the neighborhood is east and accessible "
    • Tommylasalle8037
"The only bad thing about this neighborhood have the neighbors do not pick up the dog poop........................"
    • Ashley C.
"Community out reach , trails open space , grass ! This is a great area of Denver to live in your so close to everything hiking biking and fishing "
    • Amberlkotze
"I feel safe in this neighborhood. It is near good schools. While it used to be old folks, it is starting to become the Gen X area. It’s the place to be! "
    • Cesarfa1
"Great access to public transportation as well as downtown, good police surveillance by Lakewood PD. "
    • Sydney B.
"The neighborhood has a good commute to places especially downtown and to the mountains it’s not a long drive."
    • Christian B.
"My neighborhood is not too loud, but not quiet either. It’s loud mostly during daytime hours. There has been car break ins which is a big downside but most people living here are nice overall "
    • Adanielson1009
"The area is great, my neighbors are amazing, and my commute to and from work is great; even though, I’m only about 10 minutes away depending on the lights and traffic!"
    • Aaguilarolgaa

    • Mconnie756
