8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is out of control. The teachers, principals, and administration are letting bullying go on without enforcement. Sweep it under the rug attitude. Fire them all and clean house. With a new faculty, and superintendent with the mindset of absolutely no bullying zero tolerance. Punishment is 3 day suspension second offense permanent expelled.Parent Review1y ago34 Reviews - Cannon Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are mostly inexperienced new hires because there’s been a mass exodus by experienced teachers due to lack of support, undermining, bullying, and humiliation of them by the current principal, TG. Poor administrator. Lack of support. To say this is a school that’s above average would be misleading, when children can pass the STAAR with 35% and at least more than half don’t meet standards. Disappointing.Teacher Review1y ago19 Reviews - Grapevine Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIn the last 8 years I have had 3 children attend this school. Each child with different interests, skills and social standings. I say that so you understand that I have experienced the different facets and options available at GMS. It was an eye-opening experience to go from an amazing journey and School like Cannon Elementary to then have them matriculate into GMS, a tragic occurrence. This school and its rhetoric is for show, hollow words that check a box but hold no real meaning. Leadership holds compliance over true learning/education, only caring about the score. In the last 8 years this school has truly fallen into a state of despair. I have seen videos my students took of Teachers screaming at their students and throwing things in class. I have witnessed the negative effects of their staff's tactics warp and confuse the minds of impressionable students. Favoritism is real, and many students and parents are aware. I have been on both sides of the favoritism scale, and it is eye opening the gap created and maintained by staff to protect their "chosen". I have spoken with several other parents who feel the same way, but when expressing concerns to their various assistant principals, it is met with run arounds, gas lighting and more hollow rhetoric. In the end they give up and tell their students to hold on till Highschool. Middle school is hard enough without the people paid to care for you treating you like a burden or afterthought. One of my students went form the top of his class, heavily awarded and look upon to feeling so hopeless and worthless that he gave up all because of his interactions with teachers and counselors. Another of my students shut herself away, closed off and removed herself because when reporting bullying or unwanted harassment, she was vilified or led to believe she may have been the one giving mixed messages or encouraging the offenders. One of my students was attacked in the gym surrounded by other students and supposedly monitored by teachers. No one came to his aid; his wounds were not even addressed till I arrived and requested it. Several eyewitnesses came forward to confirm it was an unprovoked attack but were told "it takes two to tango". Self-defense should not be punishable. I will not have my two youngest attend this school. I will be looking for any alternative as I value them and their current love of learning to let GMS steal it from them. I hope GMS can grow and fix these issues; our students deserve more.Parent Review7mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Nolen Dr.

"The commute isn’t terrible except for at peak times. The construction on key highways has created a bottleneck unfortunately making it a challenge to get through main thoroughfares quickly. Once construction subsidies, it seems as if it should be reasonable. During off peak hours, it’s very manageable and quite convenient to downtown Dallas and other surrounding communities."

"In my area of northern Southlake, properties are large and have more than fifty feet of front and back yards. Properties are well fenced so pets have plenty of space to play and roam unattended with fenced areas. "

"I have lived in five cities including internationally. I have lived in Southlake twice. Southlake is a very unique place with a true community spirit, lack of multi-family and great amenities. Hard to beat. "

"This neighborhood has beautiful yards. You can’t find homes that are built on lots like this anymore. The schools are wonderful but the taxes make it not worth it. "

"High quality homes, spacious lots, choice of Southlake OR Trophy Club/Northwest schools. For anyone looking for a quiet place to settle down, raise a family this neighborhood has to be one of the best in the USA. Everyone is friendly, neighbors look out for each other - including kids and pets. Frequent neighborhood get-togethers make it easy to get to know people. Homes are immaculately kept. Highly recommended!"
