10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI extremely dislike this school. It has been nothing but a nuisance to me and my child. The students act like they are walking to a funeral every day and the only ones that act excited, are the special education kids. The special education is one of the few things that stops this school from being shut down. The Special Education class in on average smarter than the regular one. The teachers are very bad and barely do anything except tell the children to read a book and watch a video. They have been notorious for calling students rude things. It is not very safe because there are people throwing stuff everywhere. Bathrooms, Hallways , and Cafeteria. They support kids mental health, but that is because students have protested various times. It locks many families out of the community and refuses to allow them to participate.Parent Review8mo ago11 Reviews - Severna Park High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is just not what it is hyped up to be. The teacher don’t know how to teach, they just rush through the lesson and give you work and that’s how basically every class is. The student are always on there phones during class and the teachers don’t care. There are a lot of drugs at this school, many kids vape. Lots of parties where people do drugs, drink, etc. People talk about who they have had s*x with. The students are fake, rude, mean. Lots of bullying but not the typical bullying, it’s kind of like the bully’s are scared too. It’s hard to describe. The sports are mid. There aren’t any fights, which is a good thing. But there’s a lot of people talking bad about other people, they just don’t physically fight about it. So basically just a bunch of internet thugs. The building of the school is mostly nice. Im pretty sure they only clean the lobbies, hallways. Because the actual classrooms floors a supposed to be white but they’re black because of dirt. There’s some classrooms where the teacher don’t even pick up papers. There food all over the rooms. It also smells bad in the school and not just the bathrooms. The bathrooms are always closed because people destroy them, mainly the boys bathroom. The sports facilities are nice. The schools engagement isn’t good. The students don’t know how to have fun in class or outside of class. I also hate that all the classes are in one building and you don’t go outside all day. Unfortunately the stereotypes of Severna Park high school are true for the most part. The school isn’t the reason you should move to the area.Other Review1y ago29 Reviews - Check out schools near Mulberry Ave.

"Lake shore is a good neighborhood, but there are no dog parks in the neighborhood. Also there is a lot of teenage kids roaming the neighborhood blasting inappropriate rap that has a lot of fowl language. I also don’t enjoy them shouting late at night when there are other people trying to sleep or relax, I walk around the neighborhood with my dog and smell drugs that these TEENAGE kids are smoking. Over all some parts of lake shore is good but not all"
