The school gives him enough homework and gets him engaged in interesting activities such as talent week, building robots etc. he hates weekends and loves to be in school all the timeParent Review1y ago10 Reviews - Sierramont Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a great school, but their math curriculum just really sucks. We use CPM, supposed to mean college prep math I guess, but it's just such a bad curriculum, it has so many tedious things and meaningless questions asking about our understanding. CPM in my opinion, is literally more of a language arts curriculum. The pace our textbook moves at is so slow and filled with random ways (IN WHICH WE ARE OBLIGATED TO FOLLOW AND DO) to do equations that are actually HARDER to understand and could be far easier and faster if it just told us the most efficient ways and equations to use. There are WHOLE CHAPTERS about learning a single EXTREMELY SIMPLE concept in which you only need to remember the formula. You could really learn these things in a single day, perhaps a week or two to get familiarized with using this formula. BUT NO, this curriculum gives you a MONTH of nonstop telling you to always EXPLAIN your steps of SIMPLE ADDITION and things, and it really messes up your knowledge a bit with making you tired with those for no reason whatsoever. CPM promotes using harder ways to do things (for example actually multiplying out big fractions without cancelling out the factors), AND YOU'RE FORCED TO FOLLOW IT, before learning the efficient way. If you want to go to this school, I would recommend also learning some math online or extracurricularily, because this curriculum, CPM, quite messes up the experience of learning math, and also is kind of confusing. Overall, the other subjects are pretty okay or good, and Sierramont's music department is nice. Also, I am sincerely sorry if some parts of this review sound informal with the capitalization, I very much express strong dislike for our tedious mathematics curriculum.ok yeah bye raged abt cpm it sincerely sucks as the main educational curriculum for math*so tedious and slow in moving through the subjects*gives all the less efficient ways to do things instead of just going over the efficient way more and well*...I mean it's alright if you just survive it it just teaches in such a weird inefficient way when we could go much faster if it tried to make us understand the concepts betterStudent Review1y ago18 Reviews - Piedmont Hills High School

"Nestled near the east foothills, bedroom community, can hear crickets at night. In 95132 neighborhood, there is one friendly bar, one donutshop, two gas stations, a Safeway and CVS that are open 24 hours! Lots of big parks and friendly people. The biggest crimes we have are porch pirates and they are always from somewhere else. It's not the Eastside and never has been. We are our own community - Berryessa. "

"Neighborhood is becoming really bad. Crime is high because it's the east side of San Jose. Packages get stolen all the time. People are fed up. Do your due diligence before choosing this area. Look at crime reports and Megan's Law. "

"To many people stealing packages, and lots of homeless people. It's sad that people don't do due diligence on these properties. These properties are close to a million or over a million and lots of crime in the area. I don't know why it's gotten worse. "
