6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a Marple Alum who went to Worrall as a child. I originally came from a school that did not support my learning disability well. When my family moved to the area, the teachers and learning support specialists immediately recognized my reading comprehension problem and I was pulled time after time from class to attend "Title 1" where I received more one-on-one support with other select students. By the end of my time here, Reading & English became my strongest subject throughout the rest of my academic career and today I've graduated college with honors as an English major. This school truly went above and beyond for me. Teachers such as Mr. Long and Mrs. Dragonetti always supported me when it came to my work and my passions. Many teachers were very creative with school work and projects and I even remember enjoying some of my least favorite subjects. This school is truly one in a million and the sense of community and events they hold for students is amazing. Although I am now in my mid twenties, many of the younger teachers I had are still there or the older teachers retired in the school/district. In addition, the students who went to Worrall who I came across in high school were always kind and had great things to say about the elementary school. I firmly believe this school shapes children into well-rounded, understanding, and confident people. Worrall truly has a special place in my heart.Other Review4y ago - Paxon Hollow Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is decent. It has plenty of good teachers and a pretty good curriculum. However, for years, people have complained about one of the eighth-grade science teachers. For context, students are constantly confused about the materials in her class and find that she has brought them unfair treatment multiple times, just this year. For example, in February/January, she had a test that only 3 or 4 students in all of her classes finished. She had around 80 students come to her class to complete the test. The classroom was overfilled and many people didn't have the opportunity to eat. They ended up finishing their lunches in their next class. Though many complaints have been made about this teacher over the years, the administration has done nothing to correct her behaviors. She is frequently absent before tests or at the start of a unit and does a very poor job of teaching. She is probably the only "bad" teacher at Paxon, though. All of the other teachers are very helpful and good at their jobs. The only other complaint I would have about this school involves its environment. A decent amount of students make racist remarks or harass their classmates in other ways. Administration usually takes action to stop them, but their behaviors stick. Overall, good school.Student Review1y ago - Marple Newtown Senior High School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAbsolutely horrendous school district. In particular, Christine White, who has been transferred to every single elementary middle and high school, because of very severe allegations against her. Numerous children are traumatized because of her and the lack of attention to the situation at hand. Do not put your child in the school district if you love them.Parent Review9mo ago - Check out schools near MARLEY Rd.
