Marple Newtown Senior High School

Absolutely horrendous school district. In particular, Christine White, who has been transferred to every single elementary middle and high school, because of very severe allegations against her. Numerous children are traumatized because of her and the lack of attention to the situation at hand. Do not put your child in the school district if you love them.

Marple Newtown High School is an excellent school offering an incredible education to children. I have raised my children in this district and knowing the surrounding districts, I would do it all over again. The High School has only slightly over 1,000 students total and provides a very personal yet extensive education. With over 25 AP courses, Duel Enrollment opportunities, new STEM Academy, new College and Career Access Center, award winning Music & Arts Program and fantastic sports you'd be hard pressed to find a better school overall!

I would say it is a pretty generic school with its own flaws, however, the music and arts department acts as a saving grace. The administration is fairly inconsistent as principles and vice principles seem to come and go. All in all though, I feel as though this isn't the worst school, but it is certainly far from the best.

Absolutely horrible. I have been bullied throughout all my years here to the point in which I had to switch schools. The teachers never tried to help and a teacher who didnt like me for whatever reason failed me just because she could. And it's not like I was a bad student. I never talked and always got my work done. I will always feel that if they were better, I would have had better college opportunities.

Marple Newtown has potential to be a great school, but only if a student really searches for it to be so. Last year, I worked in spite of an oppressive administration, but this year, after being more friendly overall around school, I've realized that a lot of the staff is really willing to help me with my goals. Sure, every school has some bad teachers, and if they could just be fired like that everything would be easy- but that's not the case. The student body is disappointing at best, with a majority of underachievers. A few bright stars shine through though and really benefit from the resources the school has to offer. Don't take honors chemistry. Only advice when it comes to classes.
