"The school system in pikeville is the best! This is a very safe neighborhood. My oldest walks home from school most days. "

"Every Halloween we have a community fall festival with haunted hay rides, contest, free food and candy giveout. "
  • Brittany C.
"The reason my family and I are leaving Pikeville Ky is because of zero job availability unless you know someone to get you the job. Faces may look miserable because it is pretty miserable! Numerous petty and dumb crimes along with no culture equals no hopes and no chances. without hope. The attitudes are to match because opportunity lacks and it's so unfortunate! I have lived here my entire 32 years. Good luck if your a dreamer !!!"
  • Garland A.
"I either walk or drive the length of Main Street. There is no public transportation to speak of, though that is not something I would ever care about"
  • Gmglnaf7577
"Every Halloween we gather for a safe night with bomb fires, lots of food, hand out candy, ghost stories, hay rides to community cemetery with people dressed up, Neighbor that is dressed as a clown and makes balloon animals for all the kids. We have a community Facebook page where we discuss our concerns and talk about how we can make our community better. We also have meetings. Most important we try to be there however we can when a neighbor (friends) need us. "
  • Gmglnaf7577
"Small town that's becoming bigger everday. Most people are friendly. In my neighborhood we get together for Halloween with ghost stories, haunted hay rides with all the neighbors bringing candy, food, drinks with balloon animals. We try to help out our neighbors in time of need. "
