I had high hopes for this school as we love creativity and out-of-box thinking in daily applications. Sadly, this school seems more worried about how they’d present than doing what is right for children. Not enough staff to make sure the children are safe, and the corrections they implement as a response to unsafe interaction aren’t enforced. This leaves children feeling vulnerable, and it’s not an environment for comfortable learning. My child is more focused on safety than anything else. Teachers do their best to set up parameters, but they can’t actually follow it due to staffing. Safe monitoring isn’t a thing at lunch, recess. Or in the classroom. Consequences are minimal. I’ve seen comments about race, however, it seems that this disregard and lackadaisical approach is limiting all the children of every race. I think it’s an issue that their style and approach don’t know how to fix. Accountability, follow through, and support are what I see missing. It breaks my heart to see a child that isn’t excited about learning. Curiosity is human nature. Something isn’t working. We will be moving on to a different school with more follow though.

Harrison Park has been very good and supportive.

Teachers are really good and down to earth, if you show up to class and turn in your work on time you'll get at least a B in most classes. The security at this school was ok. I made some great memories, teachers were good,admin were fine. The school itself is really pretty. All in all its a good school but has some problems as every school does.
