5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son just completed his Kindergarten year, and we have been so impressed with Chapman. He has an IEP, and contrary to the horror stories we have heard, our IEP process was smooth and congenial. Despite the large class sizes, the teachers are patient, good-humored, and creative and the school has been able to attract excellent classroom support teams. The principal is very accessible, and the building itself is well-maintained yet still very classic Portland.Parent Review10y ago7 Reviews - West Sylvan Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWest Sylvan is a gem of a neighborhood school. There is something for everyone from strong academics through the IB Middle Years Program, to choice of multiple World Languages, visual art classes and performing arts programs in theater, band and choir, youth sports & clubs, and excellent teachers and counselors. Our family enjoyed our time there and we have stayed connected to the school. Principal Hunt is always warm and welcoming.Other Review3mo ago20 Reviews - Lincoln High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLincoln is an amazing school, it is one of the top schools in the city with a robust International Baccalaureate (IB) program and recently began an MYP program so all students see themselves as IB learners. Great Schools doesn't give any credit for IB as a College Prep program, it only takes AP into account for that. IMO IB prepares students for the world, college and life in general in much stronger ways than simply studying for an AP test can. Lincoln students matriculate to top schools accross the country and are prepared to do well in those schools. Even better, this is a PUBLIC school, it beats out many local private schools for the number of NMSQT winners each year and students thrive at this school.Parent Review2mo ago22 Reviews - Check out schools near Levy code 001.

"The Pearl is struggling a bit. Lots of trash, inconsistent camping, tons of poop not getting picked up."

"It’s across the street from the park blocks but the neighborhood is plagued with homeless camps and human piss & feces that smells and you have to clean your dogs feet before going back into your home… and leave your shoes outside your door "

"I recently visited my daughter at The Sutton and was blown away by the stunning architecture and breathtaking views. The management team is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ensuring residents feel at home. The Sutton hosts a variety of engaging community events, fostering a strong sense of camaraderie among residents. This community truly exemplifies luxury living and is the perfect place to call Home! "Parades that form under our window. Art in the Pearl is an annual Labor Day weekend event. We have the best grocery store anywhere - World Foods- along with friendly people and great public transportation. And the walkability score is 100!"

"The walking and shopping can’t be beat. Friendly people live on this well maintained park block. Summertime we see parades originate from the park blocks and marathoners run by. In autumn the park blocks host the world class Art in the Park."

"Commute to Hillsboro/Beaverton area with no issue and get back with very minimal traffic. Have also used the train to commute and it is also very convenient and my preferred method of transportation. "

"Love this area. Beautiful carefree city lifestyle. Public transportation nearby, located in the best of everything that Portland City life offers: great shopping, local businesses and large retail too, music, elegant and casual dining, coffee shops, nearby museums, Portland main library, easy access to symphony, theater, various athletic clubs, access to walks along the River and in City parks, and a neighborhood feel. And easy to meet friends. "

"It good, but the city is struggling to solve the homeless program and the ongoing civil unrest. Other than that, it’s a great place to live. Good restaurants, parks and bars. "

"events at the park and first Thursday’s are great. It not a far walk to the Saturday market down by the waterfront. There needs to be more bars and restaurants farther in the North Pearl. "

"Lots of dogs being walked on leash. There are fenced in dog parks for med-large dogs and separate ones for small dogs. The Fields Park provides a maintained very large grass field. Lots of dog bags & disposal bins."

"dog parks are ok bit not centrally located .... playgrounds are nice but there are so many tweakers and weirdos passing through periodically that it hard to relax with your kid at the park. you have to be really vigilant "

"The Pearl District is an area of Portland, Oregon, formerly occupied by warehouses, light industry and railroad classification yards and now noted for its art galleries, upscale businesses and residences. The area has been undergoing significant urban renewal since the mid-1980s when it was reclassified as mixed use from industrial,[3] including the arrival of artists, the removal of a viaduct and construction of the Portland Streetcar. It now mostly consists of high-rise condominiums and warehouse-to-loft conversions. It’s great "
