4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has improved greatly while attending this school. His reading has my husband and I in shock daily. He may no longer have a need for speech therapy as well given his improvement. His Kindergarten teacher is everything! Her excitement for learning is contagious and comes through in her teaching methods. The breakfast and lunch served to the children is more than expected, very well balanced and healthy. My only complaint would be that they hold most of their parent activities in the middle of the day; working parents want to be involved too : (Parent Review10y ago5 Reviews - Gotham Collaborative High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school at all, First of all the teachers are either to much or to little. Some teachers barley know any english, they dont know the matieral themselves or they dont teach properly. On the other hand some teachers give to much. I should not have to spend 8 hours in school, and then another 2 at home doing homework. The teachers are mad disrespectful. They curse at students and say hateful things, And despite all of me and my friends efforts to report this unacceptable behavior. All deans, Counselors, APs, Principals ignored it. Not to mention the bullying in this school. Someone even committed sucide and you guys think its okay to let this stuff go easily? Every single day i get atleast a few comments on my looks, weight, religion, culture. Racism and bullying is so normalized in this school. I had to eat lunch with the security guard in the front for 3 months straight all because of the bullying. The cafeteria food isnt good and gave food posioning to many. Overall going to this school was my biggest regretStudent Review5mo ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near Ellis Ave.

"There are a few hosted by the different churches in the area but I don’t attend. Some of my relatives have, attended them but I don’t usually have the time. So I have not gone to any. But I assume they’re special and fun. "

"Tolerable depending on the time of the day (rush hour). It would take you about 45 minutes to an hour driving downtown. Best times to drive is in the night past 11. Worse times to drive downtown is in the morning at 6-11 and the afternoons from 2-8."

"This neighborhood is beautiful during all the seasons. The yards, sidewalk trees and the parks are gorgeous and well kept during the spring and summertime. In autumn the leaves and the holidays are colorful and fun. Then comes the winter... brutally cold days but picturesque at night. "

"Sometimes it is quiet, but it can get dangerous. The police presence does help a lot. The people aren’t bad. It’s just the younger kids who are up to no good are who make the area bad sometimes. It’s a nice and quiet area for the most part. "
