6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school claims to be a "bully-free zone," but that could not be further from the truth. In our experience, the administration caters to bullies while punishing the victims. When a student is bullied, the school’s response is to place restrictions on them. Removing them from classes they want to be in or forcing them to change their daily routines. The bullies are allowed to roam the school freely without consequences. There are no meaningful protections or safety procedures in place for students who are being harassed, and the administration consistently fails to support those who speak up. Reports are brushed aside, and nothing is done to create a truly safe environment. The so-called anti-bullying policies exist in name only.If your child is outgoing, assertive, or simply different, don’t expect support from this school when problems arise. The lack of accountability and follow-through is deeply disappointing and harmful. I would not recommend this school to any parent concerned about their child’s emotional well-being or safety.Parent Review9mo ago6 Reviews - Academy Of The Canyons

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m so glad that my child is at AOC! It’s a small school, about 400 students total, which makes for a tight-knit and welcoming community. My child tells me all the time how everyone is so nice and respectful of one another. At AOC, kids take some college classes at COC, so that upon graduating, they can earn up to 44 units toward their college years and get a lot of their basic college requirements done. The school encourages self-advocacy and maturity, allowing the student to take the lead and preparing them for life in college and beyond. They also teach how the student learns rather than applying the same methods to everyone. I appreciate their group-based and even play-based learning and truly fostering a love of learning and curiosity. I’ve been recommending the school to local friends—it’s a gem in our community.Parent Review1y ago12 Reviews - Check out schools near Diamond View Ln.

"My commute is from Santa Clarita to Santa Barbara. It’s a long drive but I leave at 6:30 and take Soledad to newhall ranch road. If I leave before 6:45 I’m ok but leaving after that I’m stuck in a lot of traffic getting through Santa Clarita because of school. Commute isn’t easy. "
