6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is honestly one of my worst experience ever. The principal is HORRIBLE. She do not care about these students academically. They will blow your phone completely up if your child is absent 1 day but in order to find out your child is falling behind in class you wouldn’t find out until parent teacher conference. The students get rewarded based off attendance and not their work performance in class. She holds her title as Principal over every one of her staff members heads. If your child have an Iep pleaseee please please don't send them here. They have no structure what so ever. This school is a big daycare. You have to pray your lucky enough to get one of the teachers who actually care about their students learning and trust me, ITS VERY FEW OF THEM! The principle hides in her office when a parent comes to the school and wants to meet with her. Its honestly nothing at this school to make the students WANT to be here. The list goes on and on. I can go on for days. To sum this all up. DO NOT PUT YOUR KIDS IN THIS SCHOOL. If all of us parents speak up we can make a change seriously. Start by getting the principal, assistant principal, and half the staff out of there asap. I cant speak for everyone but I’ll be at the board of ed everyday starting tomorrow until something is done. I’ll be emailing and contacting EVERYONE. MY VOICE WILL BE HEARD !!!!!Parent Review11mo ago12 Reviews - Women's Academy of Excellence

1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’ve had a truly memorable and rewarding experience at WAE. The teachers genuinely care about their students and go above and beyond to support both our academic and personal growth. The campus is welcoming, and there’s a strong sense of community among students, faculty, and staff. From academics to athletics to extracurriculars, there are countless opportunities to explore interests and develop leadership skills. I’ve learned so much, made lifelong friends, and grown into a more confident version of myself. I’m proud to be a senior at WAE and grateful for all the moments that made high school meaningful!Student Review1y ago12 Reviews - The Bronx Mathematics Preparatory School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI do not recommend this school. At all. While there are a few good students and some teachers are great, this school has a pretty bad environment in general, with large numbers of staff and faculty members being extremely unfriendly towards the students and the school is filled to the brim with unpleasant students. The academic performance is terrible, and it is not a pleasant place to be. There are good students here, but overall, I would recommend against this school. Please avoid it if you can.Other Review11mo ago3 Reviews - Soundview Academy For Culture And Scholarship

"Great place to live in, you don’t have to move out of the state in order to live in a great area. In addition to that you’re not far from the city and there’s plenty of mass transit. I recommend this place to anyone who’s looking to live there."

"Dog owners don’t pick up their dogs poop. Also they’re a lot of rude people who live and commute in the area. "

"A lot of time dogs are out of the owners control. A lot of medium to large sized dogs that pull and scare dogs that are much smaller. Also the possibility of being blamed for not picking up dog feces when in fact it’s the other people in the neighborhood. There is a lot of grass available for walking but it’s full of feces from other dogs going in it so it makes it difficult to walk your dog without stepping in something "

"It’s a two fare zone. You need a bus to get to the train or an express bus to the city. You can drive into the northern part of Manhattan in 14 minutes (no traffic) 40 minutes (traffic). "

"Best schools in area, quiet part of the bronx due to many private house, restaurants, plazas, numerous supermarkets, no street cleaning!! No moving cars twice a week !! All big parks have been updated like new!! Clason point city boats leaving every 30min-hour everyday. Subway close and buses are everywhere. Best place in the bronx period!! Water views are best! Come to soundview! "

"There’s events in my neighborhood. Banks, restaurants and local bars. There is a even a cigar shop. Macy’s and marshal’s is a 25 min walk. All the best Indian food, Mexican , Dominican and Jamaica food close by. I have two tracks near by and a little long bike path in soundview park. The track is usually filled with people playing soccer but in the morning it’s available."
