3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHorrible school, horrible Principal, horrible experience. .Most of the kids knew each other from grade school and most had friends they grew up with. My child was bullied as she knew no one there. If she protected her self and faught back, it was considered compliant and she got in trouble. I told her not to fight back and let teachers know. She then was bullied and attacked again, several more times. She was attacked again, and the crowed surrounded her and would not let her get away. The aggressor was written up several times. Nothing was done. Instead my child acts out because she feels the school can't or refuses to protect her so she is left with no choice to protect herself. Now my child is on an IEP. She has difficuilty learning and the calls my child stupid and dumb. She doesn't handle it well. The Principal doesn't help, I found out she attended IYT when one knew she was there so school officials and Bridges did not know where she was for a time; lost her. I never gave permission for attendance to this club. She also attends another club I didn't give permission for her to join and told by the Principal, If club is during school time she has no control if the child wants to to joing or not. So now she takes my parenting rights away. The school would not give me names or contact police. when my child was bullied. Instead of handling things, the Princial starts padding her file with anything unsatisfactory action. I don't vap, dont have any vaps, buy vaps and don't have ppl over that does. Yet some kid gives her a vap and the school pads her file instead of contacting the other kids parent why he has a vape at school. Fast forward to this year. Bridges lets kids sign themselves out and they leave campus. Why is any child sighing themselves out without parent permissions. I call them when I'm there or go to the Bridges room and get them. Fast forward, the bully taunts and teases my child where it boils over next day and fight occures. Principal calls police to issue a citation and request expulsion to the District. Now has to go to another school, no mention of the report my kid made last year and Vice Principal states he wasn't at Sylvan last year, but no one thought to give the reports from last year when the child bullied my chiild. The teacher did not intervene when she saw a crowd of ppl even those she recognize not in her class. School padded her file then took steps to give child a criminal record. Pathetic.Parent Review4mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near Cherry Tree.

"It is about a 25 minute commute to downtown Sacramento with open traffic. Heavy traffic increases the commute to 45 minutes plus."

"It takes 20-30 minutes to get from Citrus Heights to Natomas/Sacramento in morning traffic along I-80 to San Francisco. If you need to take Business 80 into downtown Sacramento leave 45 minutes + on most days for your commute. "

"I've lived here for the past decade and I really can't say anything bad about it. Very few neighborhood problems, and it is close to everything (i.e., shopping, restaurants, schools, etc.) and just far enough away from the freeway that you're not too close."

"I have lived in this area for almost 4 years. Most of my immediate, as well as other neighbors have lived here for 30+ years. The schools: elementary (WONDERFUL teachers and staff!!), middle and high schools are very close and we feel very comfortable letting the kids walk/ride their bikes to school. Many many many neighbors walk and run in the morning and evening - either alone or with their dogs. One of my dogs got out of the yard and dang near the entire neighbor hood was out looking for him! Great place to raise a family. "
