"New lil Mexico! (Northside moved here and now it's Highlands) so this is the Barrio now! And it ain't changing with no gentrification lol."
  • Trulia User
"the area is busy accidents are common and turn lights don't last long enough. if you don't know ways through the residential plan to spend a long time in traffic."
  • Trulia User
"I think this area is perfect for families with dogs. Plenty of parks and trails to have as many adventures "
  • Jennifer
"I have never experienced neighbors that were so friendly, giving and caring. When I had surgery both my immediate neighbors helped me shovel and Mow my lawn. It is however very loud with power tools running at 6 am and music playing until 4 am "
  • Colleen W.
"It’s fine if you like living in a food desert. It is not walkable at all. Fireworks go off nearly all year round and gunshots are not uncommon. "
  • Pj.fasr
"Every halloween we have a great turnout. We have a number of original home owners here so not too much visiting "
  • renteria a.
"Mar Lee is a typical south west Denver neighborhood similar to Ruby Hill or Athmar or Westwood. Gentrification has not yet consumed us but it is happening gradually. most of our neighbors have lived here longer than 10 years and keep to themselves but are very friendly if you reach out. It's a wonderful place to live and we are surrounded by the city's beat and most authentic Mexican and Vietnamese food. "
  • Tmehler
"I love the people and neighborhood pools. The local restaurants are yummy too. I also enjoy how close it is to the mountains!!!!! "
  • CMEFuss
"Harvey Park and Marlee are equidistant and most of our neighbors are retired. Quiet part of the neighborhood and great sense of community. "
  • Barbara S.
"Largely Hispanic, good Asian, Mexican & Some American rest. Graffiti and noise from mufflers biggest problems. Good homeowners assn. Close to Downtown, DU is 10 min away so is Regis. Lots of churches. Good Rental area. City working to improve area to north. "
