I couldn’t be more satisfied with the education this school has provided my children

Amazing school I would recommend it has amazing everything

This school is great as long as you fit the mold of what type of student they want at their school. If your child is white, female, calm, quiet, compliant, does not have special needs, has good balance and fine motor skills then they will do just fine. Unfortunately, we had a horrible experience with all three our children when we placed them in this school, thinking the "whole-child" approach would be exactly what our children needed. Unfortunately, the school did not follow one of our children's IEP, bullied him, criminalized his behavior, and other discriminatory practices which ultimately lead to some rather traumatic experiences and leaving the school. Our youngest also experienced discriminatory discipline practices while using incendiary language to describe more benign behaviors like bumping into another student, or putting his hand on a wall, or tripping, saying he is being aggressive, damaging property and hitting other students. I wish I could say our children were isolated incidences at this school, they are not. This school struggles in dealing with diversity, whether it be cultural, racial, or students who have disabilities (or who respond differently than the school would like). The principal is a great politician who works for her own image. The school's position is that this is not a neighborhood school, but a school of choice, and if you don't fit the mold they can push you and let the neighborhood school deal with it.
