4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does absolutely nothing about the drug problems, the counselors will not give you the help you need, teachers do not care about getting kids interested in learning, most kids do not read at a middle school level, and fights happen nearly everyday, the worst part is that no authority figure does anything to help! Alot of the teachers are just plain rude to their students.Other Review2w ago12 Reviews - John Glenn High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageUnlike the other reviews of this school, we had a very negative experience. The current Principal thinks she is God and doesn't like to listen to any parent or child. She is only involved with the special needs children and just "deals" with the others. My daughter was severely bullied her whole time here and nothing was done about it. I know about a girl who was pushed off a piece of playground equipment by a special needs child (broke he arm requiring surgery) and only a small suspension was given as he was special needs. Most of the teachers, IMO, just want to get through the school year. My daughter rarely had homework. Very little teacher/parent conversations even though I was trying to be involved. The PTO is a joke.Parent Review3y ago15 Reviews - Check out schools near Barton.

"Dog owners would like that we have dog waste stations in the walking path of our subdivision. Many people in our neighborhood walk their dogs and pick up after them."

"We live on a dirt, dead end street with a great “up north” feel to it. We love that once you are past a few houses you lose the feeling of living in a metropolitan suburb. We are less than 5 minutes from shopping, gas, markets, pharmacy, and a very large high school."

"We have lived in our house for decades. We raised our children here. We have always felt safe, enjoyed a sense of privacy and loved the “ up north” feel of our street. Once you drive onto our street you forget you are in a city."

"no one does events barbecues potlucks or anything !!!! No activities for kids !! No block clubs. Not good lawn care. seniors must take care of lawns. That's hard especially in the winter removing their own snow !!!! Traffic is heavy and driverd speed up and down the very small streets !!!!!! Some parents in the neighborhood don't watch their children when they are out playing. Kids ride on lawns of tenants trying to keep up their lawns with no parent supervision !!!!!!"
