7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe biggest issue with this school is the complete lack of communication. Important information never reaches parents, yet when something goes wrong, the school is quick to blame the families. There’s no proper access to drinking water — the entire school of 400+ students has only one working water fountain, and lunch periods are less than 30 minutes, leaving many kids hungry. Bus service is unreliable, often not showing up at least once every couple of weeks, and the school never seems aware of it. When concerns are raised, the principal is dismissive and simply says, “That’s what PG County tells us to do.” Then what’s the point of having leadership? My son is in 1st grade, and his classroom has a single loud window air conditioner that makes it hard for young children to even hear the teacher. Unless major changes are made, I would strongly recommend staying away from this school or lowering your expectations significantly.Parent Review7mo ago28 Reviews - Bowie High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are so many disturbing things to cite about this school, starting with the incredulous population of 2600+ kids. That’s over 600 students per grade level, and there’s simply not enough space or resources to support a community of this size. In the highest tax paying city in the county, this school leave so much to the imagination. The facilities are outdated and worn down. The hallways are dark and dingy. The teachers are lackluster; they don’t even assign homework. I assume bc they don’t want the responsibility of grading 600+ assignments several times per week. There’s no homeroom classes. There’s not enough lockers to accommodate students and assignments come a month into the school year. Students walk around in their coats and carrying all their belongings all day long. Good luck catching the IT staffer who manages the schools’ devices, WiFi, etc. He’s unresponsive and unavailable always. The multipurpose/lunch room overflows. I couldn’t even witness my daughter’s first high school honors experience bc they don’t have space to accommodate parents. All of this is the perfect pressure cooker, and it’s no wonder that there’s a fight at least twice a week. It’s so disappointing and embarrassing that this is the neighborhood school. We all, especially the students, deserve better and for our tax dollars.Parent Review4mo ago30 Reviews - Samuel Ogle Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo, the school year in 2022-2023 wasnt that bad except when ou will have THE MOST FAKEST FRIENDS and then have the most ridiculous math teacher. I forgot his name but he would just act like nothings going on just say 2 girls are arguing he would just say "Go outside or stop OR ignore it" But for the 8th graders at the school lock inOther Review8mo ago24 Reviews - Check out schools near Annapolis Rd.

"There aren’t any doggy bag stations. There are plenty of parks playgrounds and walking areas. Not too sure if there’s any dog parks but people do have doggy meets and there’s a huge open field where dogs run through."

"I work from home so no commute. Public transportation doesn't seem to be very present in this area so I recommend owning a car. Traffic is annoying but there is easy, nearby access to highways and interstates. "

"Yards are small for the townhomes, but there are tons of common areas, parks, and trails for walks, plus in neighborhoods conveniently placed bags for pick up. Some dog owners aren’t the best about keeping their dogs under control near other dogs, but that is typical "
