9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe relocated from Naperville Schools, and having a good experience there, the school system was one thing that made me want to stay in Naperville. After being a part of the Pleasantdale community for several years, I have no regrets. Every single person I have dealt with at the school, from the office staff, teachers, and principal to the superintendent and other parents has made a positive impact. This school truly feels like a community. I am often in awe at how both of my kids are thriving both academically and social/emotionally at Pleasantdale. The teachers and principal are engaging and encourage participation from the parents. I am so happy we are part of this community!Parent Review2y ago9 Reviews - Pleasantdale Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI don't know where so many of these negative reviews are coming but it appears in many cases the grievances that were stated are things that happen in just about every school across America. That doesn't excuse it but the criticism seems unfair and it appears they're intentionally trying to lower the review score. My experience thus far, with my child attending for 2 years, has been a very positive one. His teachers are engaging. Be does complain about one or two here and there but that's honestly expected. There has been no mention of someone bullying my child. Teachers and admin have been quick to reply when there is an issue brought to their attention. The school offers advanced classes, such as advanced math to students who qualify and are exceeding grade level coursework. It's great to see these types of programs are offered at this school. My child also has a 504 and the school admin has been very accommodating. The 5th graders take an overnight field trip and my child's response was very positive. The school also offers Orchestra and Band. They give a couple concerts throughout the year. One thing that I will always say is a concern, regardless of the school, is that safety will always be something to look at critically. It's seems like the district office has a plan in place for each school but you never know until it's really needed and I hope that day never comes. If you're a parent considering moving into the district I'd say do not hesitate. Your kid(s) will be in good hands and they'll be ready for High School when their middle school journey is over. One thing I hope the district continues to streamline is the amount of communication methods that are used between the Elementary and Middle School. I wish there was ONE dedicated app for EVERYTHING. Grades, fees, attendance, notifications, updates, teacher communication, etc. just a one stop shop. Not a biggie but would make life a little easier for a parent that has children in both schools at the same time.Parent Review3w ago6 Reviews - Lyons Twp High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average2 of my 3 children have graduated from LT and 1 will start there soon. The ones who have gone to LT have found it to be challenging, supportive, full of caring teachers and staff, and a HUGE number of classes to choose from. They have gone on to be successful in college and ultimately that's what the goal is: to be successful in what comes AFTER high school. Lyons Township HS provided my kids with the tools to be successful after leaving, and one of my kids actually said that he seemed better prepared for college than some of his current classmates at his university.Parent Review2y ago16 Reviews - Check out schools near 7950-A S County Line Rd #2.

"Easy access to major highways. Train nearby but not totally easy to get to. Pace bus service is great but can be crowded. "
