Interaction with Guests:
As much or as little as you want! I typically assume you have everything you need and don't want to be bothered unless you let me know...

The Neighborhood:
The area is a historic pocket of DC that has a mix of families, early careerists and long-time residents. One of the older areas of the city that traditionally served as the living area for employees on the Hill, this has diversified across many industries but kept the walkable, historic streets that have great food and beverage options as well as numerous pocket parks for recreation.

You are walking distance from EVERYTHING!!
4 blocks to two metro stops (Eastern Market + Capitol South)
4 blocks to Eastern Market (local farmers market w/ craft vendors)
5 blocks to the Library of Congress [1000 steps]
6 blocks to the US Capitol Building [1200 steps]
approximately 1 mile (20min walk) to The Air & Space Museum
4 blocks to Barrack's Row (8th St SE) and Pennsylvania Ave (filled with boutique fitness, restaurants and bars).
1 mile to Nationals Park

Getting Around:
4 blocks away from two (2) metro locations (Eastern Market + Capitol South // both are blue/orange/silver line)... these lines will take you straight into The Mall as well as DCA airport.

Ubers/Lift are abundant and easy to grab in DC.

Capital Bikeshare (city bike sharing) is 2 blocks away on Pennsylvania Ave.

Lime, Bird, Lyft, and Uber JUMP scooters (and bikes) are readily available on nearly every corner of the city wherever you can find one, find & rent them easily using their app and your smartphone.

Other Things to Note:
Seems the point needs to be made clear about how much we value clean air in our home, so please absolutely NO smokers, and NO smoking (including Vaping) anywhere on the property (backyard, front yard, tunnel. etc). A fine will be filed for those who will break this house rule amounting $200. Very many thanks in advance for respecting this rule!

Parking can be tricky around the city, if you are spending all of your time around DC I would highly recommend public transit, walking or cabbing... it will reduce your stress level.

Wifi & TV: Wifi access is available throughout the apartment. TV is located in the family area.

Utilities: The apartment has it's own utilities, including separate heating and air conditioner as well as water pump.
