1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe strong community at Miner is exactly what we are looking for in a neighborhood school, and I am thrilled that my daughter will be going there for the next 7 years - from Pre-K and up. Boiling down a schools' performance to standardized test metrics does not in any way reflect the learning, the support and the experience-based learning going on at this school. If you pass on this school experience because of what some website says about test numbers, you will really be missing out.Parent Review6y ago9 Reviews - Eastern High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am a student at Eliot hine currently. And this is the worst school I have been to. The principal and vice principal do not hold kids accountable. My friends and I have been harassed, assaulted, and bullied by other students here. And they do nothing about it! I got bullied here and my mom emailed the vice principal about it. And she didn’t do anything! Also I am quite sure there is a p3do working there. And they hired teachers that degrade their students. The math teacher I have gets upset at me for not knowing certain problems, even though the teachers don’t teach. They just make us watch videos about math and expect to do every problem that is difficult. And the new science teacher they hired is AWFUL. She is extremely strict and takes away student’s recess for the smallest things. Like being late or even just having your hood on during class. Barely any of the staff members actually care about the students and the situations they are dealing with at home. They do not help students either. Please do not send your child here.Other Review1y ago10 Reviews - Check out schools near 706 16th St NE #A.

"I grew up near this area and came back a few years ago. The development and diversity have improved a great deal and great things are coming. There is still some work that needs to be done to minimize the loitering and such but when you grow up in DC it’s less of an issue."

"It’s different ethnicities and there’s good places to visit in dc if you’re just visiting. Great things as far as museums, sight-seeing, & shopping. Not too far from Union Station where you can commute to other areas using the yellow and green lines. Also use the trolley which is free fare. So you can explore the restaurants on H Street and the Pubs."
