6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has really good teachers for the most part some are not the best but they aren't the worst math at this school is good until you get into math 1 the teacher is a good teacher but it is also a robotics class and we havent been doing a lot of math work just 3-9 homework problems I wouldn't recommend this school because there are so many better options The lunch food is terrible the only good thing is cereal because how do you mess up cerealm one time I put my student I.d in wrong because you have do do that to get food (also no seconds) and the lady grabbed my shirt and pulled me back like yanked me. The kids are another issue if you are apart of the LGBTQ there are a lot of other kids to bond with and you can make clubs but you are at high risk of being bullied and harassed, same for kids with special needs and this The kids at this school vape, are racist and are wanna be gang members and overall really aggressive and the teachers will not really do anything ESPECIALLY IN P.E The sports are ok they are inclusive except volleyball is only for girls every other sport is either boy girl or co-ed. Now for the good, the special needs staff have good discipline they don't just let the kids do whatever they know when to get loud never physical, sports are fun and inclusive the coaches are ok but the kids are good competiters, (I know you wont read all this) the buses from what I have heard are loud and chaotic, the super adendents are nice but one lady is super mean that's all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate this school it stresses me out because there is little help for struggling students the the teachers keep loading up work on students and we never get a break. NEVER!!Student Review10mo ago9 Reviews - Canyon Oaks Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'm a parent/volunteer yard duty at Canyon Oaks. It may be just luck, but my son has had amazing teachers for the 3 years he's attended. They've helped him with his struggles and I've seen real improvement. As a yard duty, I interact with nearly all the students. The administration's guidance for how we guide behavior is refreshing, which is focused on positive reinforcement and social/emotional learning.Other Review1y ago9 Reviews - American Canyon High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis used to be an exciting school to attend but after 2014 they started letting kids from Vallejo who don't deserve to be here to attend based off a lottery acceptance. Unfortunately, Project Based Learning (PBL) has not prepared me at all for the university level. I'm not sure why PBL had to be instilled in the first place where other schools in the district such as Napa or Vintage have prepared students MUCH better for university without PBL in the past. I've only had a hand full of teachers care about traditional learning and every time I check the directory to see if they're still teaching at ACHS, I come to found out that they are not. PBL is a failed experiment especially with unmotivated kids who don't want to work. Most of the class grade is based on participation from everyone in the group and if you get stuck in a bad group, good luck working on the project on your own. I have never seen a school not prepare their students for university or the real world. So much wasted potential.Other Review2y ago18 Reviews - Check out schools near Hiddenbrooke Pkwy #10.

"The city is mostly made up of young families and empty nesters. The elementary schools are great with lots of parent involvement. The neighbors look out for each other. Even in minor instances the police department is fast to respond. "

"Traffic is the biggest issue here. Kids are struck in crossing walks a little too often for it being such a small town. There is a big community feel though that is very warm and inviting."

"My travel time is 65 minutes away to work and I counter commute. Find that it takes almost 15 mins from driveway to 80 via AC Road. Increased traffic and much longer stop lights. "
