5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe gang problem is out of Control in this school!! My son (a junior) was a baseball player for this school even won a championship last year, my daughter (a freshman) received student of the moth last month, yet despite their effort to stay away from trouble its hard when the school is full of gangsters who aren't disciplined by staff!! I have transferred my kids from this school! Good ridance!!Parent Review11y ago6 Reviews - Sylmar Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is extremely disappointing. First of all they do not care about bullying and just make it worse when they put conferences or meetings. The children here do NOT care they stay bullying and are so disrespectful and make fun of anyone when honestly should have no room to talk cause the children they bully are way better than them. Second of all the smoking policy here is extremely terrible! These children still smoke in the bathrooms, they dont check their backpacks! They are so sneaky with it and these staff dont tend to care about our kids health! DO BETTER SYLMAR. This school can lead to children smoking more because of these children. If the staff did better at controlling the smoking issue this school wouldve been a bit better for your kids! Third of all the staff are so weird they give me extremely weird vibes. The teachers are extremely rude execpt some i personally dont think teachers should have that "gum" rule because children to have anxiety and gum tends to help them relax.Parent Review11mo ago13 Reviews - Charles Maclay Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI attended Maclay from 1-12 grade. It was a wonderful learning environment largely free from prejudice or bullying. The teachers were almost uniformly excellent and I was extremely well prepared for college. I would happily send my own kids there.Other Review10y ago33 Reviews - Cesar E. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is in 9th grade this year and LOVES this school. She was so excited to introduce me to her teachers at Open House. She talks nonstop about her classes and projects. This is incredible because she has always been an indifferent student. Now, she likes going to school. The admin is great and works with parents. Definitely happy we found this school.Parent Review3y ago6 Reviews - Sylmar Biotech Health & Engineering Magnet

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSo far not so great. The Fenton Primary Center was a great experience, but this school has been very disappointing so far and not on the same page as it's primary school. I'm surprised how disconnected the schools are seeing as they are both Fenton schools.Parent Review6y ago13 Reviews - Fenton Primary Center

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery one is great, all the teacher's my son has had, TAs, staff and the principal. They always greet you with a smile, very professional and respectful. If my child has a problem they always find a way to help and the Think Together here is awesome. I just wish they had up to 5th grade.Parent Review1y ago15 Reviews - Check out schools near 13138-13138 Wheeler Ave.

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 34 years and privacy is the best feature. Still a great place to raise a family."

"Super pet friendly to all animals: Dogs, Horses, Peacocks, Chickens/Roosters…, but rural, so not many sidewalks."

"I don’t think there are any problems having dogs here because all dogs are safely secured inside the gates and houses."

"it is quiet, but most people here like it that way. most malls are 15-20 minutes away but it's pretty centered that you can go in any direction, Santa Clarita, Northridge, Burbank, Glendale, etc."

"I’m 30 years old and lived here my whole life; I walk, bike ride, and my friends do horseback riding. People are friendly and have family values. So great for raising kids here. Also a great equestrian life style. Churches, one gas station and one small grocery store, along with a self car wash and public library and multiple parks. A few schools; private and public. With easy access to the 210 freeway."

"Very safe and clean neighborhood. I love this neighborhood. Kids play outside. People say hello and walk their dogs outside. I love walking to the ranch cafe. The owner welcomes my dogs in the outdoor sitting area."

"I am one of few of the original owners in this tract that was built by Lesney in 1964. It will be 50 years in December that I have resided in this home. It is a great place to live with necessary conveniences such as a convenience store only 1 mile away, to 5 miles away for the following: Recreation facilities are within walking distance. Hiking trails, horse trails within walking distance; a library, fishing and swimming all within 2 1/2 miles. Grocery stores and such about 4 1/2 miles away, with banking just a bit farther. In my own backyard, deer, bobcats, raccoon, skunk, coyotes and fox have frequented the area from time to time. One true ring-tailed cat was spotted, one mountain lion and one California Wolverine by more than one witness. Being in the foothills, critters do visit once in awhile such as tarantulas, snakes, scorpions, centipedes and such, but hardly problematic except for the gophers. They thrive.....even having said that, anybody would love to live here...no walk-bys, no through traffic resulting in very few solicitors who want to make the trek up the rear entrance driveway. But what is best is the view of the valley....gorgeous. My favorite. "

"Only 30 mins from dt LA and 15mins from Glendale, Burbank and Santa Clarita...very strategic!"
