I feel this way because my 12 year old missed one day of school. She and I over slept, I was up until 2am taking care of my special needs child so she missed the bus. I was thinking about not taking her anyways because she had a therapist appointment at Dayton Children's. The school therapist had called me before I even was awake and left a message at 8:21am saying that she was checking on my child and that my child had wrote down about self harm and starving herself so she was just worried and she "THINKS" my child had told her that she has a therapist appointment at Dayton children's today but she "wasnt sure". I wake up, see theres a message listen to it and the next thing I know her and a sheriff is walking down my driveway told her I didnt even have time to wake up and call her my 12 year old was asleep after they left I wont her up to talk to her and she said she never wrote anything like that. This never happened with my other child but they did tell my oldest how they like the drama. Oh and all my 12 year olds therapy notes are about bullying!! So she in therapy because of this school. NOTHING BEING DONE!!Parent Review1mo ago5 Reviews - Greenon Jr. High School

"Homeless, and drug addicts yell out front consistently. Multiple break in attempts in my 5 years living here. Also, people like to sleep in my garage."

"Dog owners would love the yards and greenery. Dog owners should be wary of the nearby busy intersections in case pets get loose. "

"The struggle is real. Springfield was a once proud community but it is truly struggling now. Lack of resources and proper infrastructure is a huge problem along with subpar schools. "

"There is a lot of cookouts and family and community get togethers also. Our community comes together when we really need it the most. A lot of church charities and school charities. Not all Springfield is bad. Also the ymca is a good community even center to. This is my home town and there is still good left in this town. Not all is bad. Also the soup kitchen where it feeds the homeless and also gives the people clothes. There is also basketball courts where the community can get together and play basketball and enjoy it and have fun. There’s a skate park also where younger kids skate and ride there bikes at. There is a lot of bike trails and fields to play sports "

"there’s no dog park. there’s a few neighborhood cats that like to stray and you often hear the neighborhood dogs barking. it’s no bother really since everyone minds their business. just something to be mindful of."

"I've lived in this neighborhood for 20 years, and it's changed over the last 7 years. The neighborhood has some really good people and also a few bad apples. But, overall the people that live here, do make an effort to look out for one another. "

"Crime and drugs make Springfield an unsafe city to live in. Houses and apartments are run down. There are no family oriented places to go to or enjoy. Most people go to Columbus to enjoy a nice family outing."

"Springfield is not safe for families with small children. Drug addicts make up most of the population. The homicide rate is the highest in this part of the state. Do not move here. Safety is an issue that must be looked at before moving here."
