4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe were worried that our teen, coming from a small private school, would have difficulties at such a large, diverse high school. Franklin High was the best choice we ever could have made. Our teen is getting more from the experience at Franklin than we ever dreamed. The kids are great, welcoming, tolerant, fun, and even polite to adults (I always appreciate that). The academics are challenging and prepare students well, as our teen's PSAT scores would attest. AP and honors classes make for lots of homework, but there is also plenty of fun happening too. Our teen is stronger, smarter, and happier because she goes to Franklin. There is not a bunch of privileged, entitled kids expecting everything to be handed to them, judging others who have less. It's a good place to be.Parent Review11y ago4 Reviews - Kimball Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter in her 5th year at Kimball has had stellar, experienced teachers each year at Kimball. She tested into HC and could have moved to Thurgood Marshall, but we have been so happy with her experience, teachers, Current Principal and the real world diversity of cultures and ethnicities, why would we move her?Other Review9y ago5 Reviews - Washington Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child has only been at this school for one and a half months, but so far I am really happy. I've heard and read that the school had a number of challenging years in the past, but I am very happy with the community the new principal seems to be building. My child looks forward to going to school every day and says that the students and teachers are nice. She came in with friends already, but has made new friends quickly, too. She has told me about 1 or 2 pretty typical middle school behavioral incidents, and the response from the staff seemed quick and appropriate (not too harsh, but also not ignoring the matter). My child is ahead academically, so I wouldn't say that she's extremely challenged, but she is definitely learning and is enjoying what she's learning. I appreciate the communication from the principal and teachers, and the positive changes they have already made and plan to continue.Parent Review8mo ago14 Reviews - Check out schools near 3019 S Angeline St #1293.

"Great neighborhood, people and open space. Easy to park, new business opening in unexpected areas. Takes 5 min or less, to get on I-5. Easy commute to DT, east side, Renton, airports, shopping and Georgetown/South Park. Good people. "

"The neighborhood is a hidden gem of convenient access to nearly the entire city, with the added benefit of being more diverse than remainder of nearly the entire city."

"More space for dogs to roam, fences to keep the animals from roaming the neighborhood. They wouldn’t like the way people speed through the neighborhoods and barely slow down "

"The 36 bus running up and down Beacon Ave and the 60 on 15th provide direct access to the Beacon Hill Link station, making this area a prime locale for train commuting by th year 2044 when the train finally goes anywhere but downtown and the airport."

"I5 is usually okay. light rail access is convenient. Mercer exit is still horrible, and the worst part of working downtown."
