9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy husband's job transferred him to Sterling Heights, Michigan last summer from Northern Virginia. I had began looking and interviewing schools in the surrounding area the preceding October since my girls' school would determine where we bought a house. After initially narrowing down the schools using the internet, my husband and I interviewed Troy HS, the International Academy, and Stony Creek HS. Our three girls were entering the ninth and eleventh grades (yes, the two youngest are identical) and required both special education support as well as advanced placement coursework. The girls wanted a strong swim team and band experience. Mr. Ferden happily supplied them with over $8000 worth of instruments before the school year actually began while Coach Tim absorbed the two youngest onto his swim team and eventually pushed our daughter into earning her varsity letter while still a freshman. Our oldest daughter was taken under the wing of the school's outstanding theatre teacher as stage manager and managed the summer musical production complete with an on-stage orchestra. Oh and by the way, the academics have been outstanding; Algebra II through AP Calculus, Biology through AP Environmental, AP US History, as well as Spanish II and III. My girls have been supported by a very professional faculty - even when their mother and teachers are shaking their heads and saying, "well, I guess they can do that too." We are all very happy we chose Rochester Adams HS.Parent Review10y ago7 Reviews - Reuther Middle School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is not good and the administration in this school doesn't care about bullying or other people's problems and they don't care about some specific students that are favorited. Don't send your kids to this school. They will either come out bratty, or doing illegal things, or both.Student Review3y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 3686 E Connors Dr.

"Decent road conditions and I-75 was actually pretty smooth coasting. Was very surprised as I just moved back from Southern California in the past month which has/had been a major adjustment getting used to the work commute from Detroit to Westland where the roads are terrible ironically (in the vicinities of Westland, Taylor, and Inkster - worse then road conditions in NORTHWEST Detroit proper to be more specific even)."

"I wouldn’t necessarily say unique but more so separate from the rest. The diversity in this area is there, but not as “free” as you’d see in Ferndale/ Royal Oak area. It would be nice to have more. This city is a place to raise a family, walk the dog(s), or invite your neighbor over for a BBQ. It’s safe, clean and quiet. "

"Frequently see dog owners walking their dogs. Great leash compliance, people do a good job of cleaning up after their dogs. One concern if you have a small dog is that you need to be extra vigilant due to frequent coyote sightings in the area."
