9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethere are pros and cons about this school. i recently graduated after being here for 3 years and i was apart of their aiat program.pros:-if you go to the aiat at portola, the teachers here are very good and they support their twice exceptional kids!-they have a wide variety of electives and clubs-everyone is loved and supported by other staff-the dance class here is so much fun and it’s very easy to mingle with others and make friendscons:-multiple fights occur here-some kids pressure others to do uncanny behavior-lots of bullying occurs-some people pull pranks, such as pulling the fire alarm during classas a person that went there herself, i did have a few issues here and there, but it was overall a very memorable experience.Other Review6mo ago68 Reviews - Reseda Senior High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principle is horrible! She allows bulling! She says she will handle it and does nothing. She does not do what she says she would and does not prevent the bulling from happening. She instead talks about the bullies home situation to feel pity for the bullies. At school soccer tournaments wither parents from other schools talk about how they moved their children from Vanalden because of the horrible principle. She’s all talk and acts nice but does not care. It’s all an act. Parents have contacted her higher up and don’t do anything because they know her and are friends. They don’t care. Please don’t send your kids here. Tarzana elementary is a better option.Parent Review10mo ago12 Reviews - Check out schools near 6322 Reseda Blvd #125N.

"Tarzana is a nice town hidden between the bigger known names such as Woodland Hills and Encinitas but still has great views and walkable streets and still keeps the suburban feel "

"I think it is important for parents to know that Encino is a very nice place to live , but it also requires diligence to keep it this way as every part of LA has the potential for “petty crime” and issues with the homeless, so it takes a community to solve these issues that do sometimes appear in Encino. "

"Very safe and suburban. Easy for raising a family given restaurants and kid activities. The schools are all above average with a mix of public, charter and private options all nearby. "

"It’s close to some bad areas, people drive far too fast for kids to be outside. There are people wandering the streets at night who scream to themselves "

"Has a bus line that is close but the homeless abuse the transportation and It is not always safe however there are other bus lines that are safer to use but they are timed too far apart and don’t always run on schedule "

"Varied cultures, very walkable and great hikes up in the hills. I do feel safe here, homeless population is growing and I wish I could do more to help. Single mum raiding two kids is no easy task that’s for sure.. I’d love more community here."

"I see people walking dogs all the time which is nice. But also I hear dogs barking all of the time. "
1Flag - neighbor

"Almost all neighbors have dogs. The barking is beneficial and never any issues too early or too late. Dogs are often walked along these streets, the occasional coyote and raccoons and thieving squirrels that no dog can apparently scare- the coyote issue is rare, i believe most of us haze if we find but they are often too fast, and since displaced by fires and during mating season more are around so people do need to beware at all hours."
