2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from out of state to central Phoenix before my son was starting 9th grade. He applied for North’s International Baccalaureate (IB) program and started there last year. I was worried about the transition from a rural small school to an urban large school as a new kid freshman year after being online for 8th grade d/t COVID but he has never been happier. Supportive environment, great teachers, and he feels like he’s found his ‘people’. He also was in two high school sports teams and plans on joining a third next year. We couldn’t be happier.Parent Review3y ago5 Reviews - Check out schools near 2323 E Van Buren St #G102.

"There is always people walking their dogs or going for a run as well as people on their bikes. There are a few groups that do activities with the community. Local shops are not far are at a good walking distance. "

"I've lived downtown over 5 years, and it's pretty safe overall. Minimal noise after business hours, but events and game traffic can get noisy. "

"There is an excellent elementary school in Garfield. The families are what make the neighborhood great. In addition there are a lot of students & ASU employees. It’s close to everything downtown - arts, sports, and restaurants. Other than some transient people that you see anywhere these days, it’s a super cool mix of old & new Phoenix. "

"There is a lot of history and some charm, however with the freeways close by and the amount of alley ways that are present in about 95% of the properties; this area gets a lot of homeless, dumpster divers, gang bangers and scouts on the look out for burgarlizing homes. we have to be very vigilant when it comes to our exterior and the back of our home due to very unsafe and unpatroled alley ways."
