About this House

**About This Space**
Welcome to our sun-lit, beautifully designed penthouse right in the heart of Pasadena. We completely gutted and renovated this space in January 2026 to be our own newlywed home, pouring our hearts into every premium detail.
Now, as we prepare to spend time overseas, we are opening our doors to someone who appreciates a high-end, exceptionally clean, and thoughtfully curated living space. Located on the top two floors of a highly secure, gated French-style garden community, this turnkey loft is the perfect peaceful retreat for relocating families, visiting scholars, or business professionals.

For Guests Who Value a Spotless, "Brand-New" Environment
If you have high standards for cleanliness and air quality, this home is for you. Because this was recently built for our own family, you won't find tired, heavily-used rental furniture here.

You will enjoy:
--Brand-New Central AC: Just installed in August 2026 for perfect, clean climate control year-round.
--Pristine Kitchen Appliances: A brand-new dishwasher and a state-of-the-art Samsung 4-Door French Refrigerator featuring a built-in water purifier and ice maker.
--Brand-New Laundry: Fresh, untouched Samsung washer and dryer conveniently located in the upstairs hallway.
--Gut-Renovated Interiors: Fresh paint, pristine flooring, and modern bathrooms completely upgraded in early 2026.

**The Layout & Vibe**
The First Floor (Living, Dining & Kitchen)
Step into an open-concept living space framed by elegant French windows and 9 to 10-foot ceilings. We designed this floor for relaxation and effortless living:
Dual Balconies & Cross Breeze: Open the doors to your private North and South-facing balconies to let a gorgeous California breeze flow straight through the kitchen into the living room.

Entertainment & Work: Designer leather sofa bed, Big TV and lounge chairs.

Chef's Kitchen: Features a beautiful central island, custom designer pantry cabinets, and a nearby dining area with designer table. A convenient half-bath is also located on this floor.

The Second Floor (Bedrooms & Bathrooms & Laundry Room)
Head up the stairs and enjoy the dramatic, airy 17-foot ceiling in the stairwell. Upstairs, you will find two spacious, totally private en-suite bedrooms:

Master Suite: Features a luxury King-size bed with a premium mattress, clever pull-out storage, a walk-in closet, and a modern stand-in shower.

Guest Suite: Includes a comfortable Queen-size bed, a relaxing bathtub. (Note for entire-home rentals: We will lock our personal items in the guest closet, but we will provide a high-quality separate clothing rack for your use).

**The Neighborhood**
You are in the absolute center of Pasadena (91101). The community is quiet, highly educated, and incredibly safe. Best of all, it is highly walkable. Within a beautiful 15 to 20-minute stroll, you can reach:
Caltech & Pasadena City College (PCC)
Old Town Pasadena & South Pasadena
Major supermarkets, boutique shopping, and fantastic local coffee shops.

**Rental Options & Pricing**
We offer flexible options depending on your relocation needs:
Option 1: Rent the Entire Home (Starts Feb 2027)
12-Month Lease: $4,800/month (utilities not included).
6-Month Lease: $5,800/month (all utilities included: water, internet, electricity, gas).
Ideal for: Up to 3 adults, or 1-2 adults with children.

Option 2: Rent a Private Room (Starts Oct 2026)
If you are a solo professional, you can rent a single suite. We will keep the other room for our storage and occasional use, but since we will be overseas most of the time, you will essentially have the place to yourself! (Utilities split based on actual usage/occupancy).
Master Suite: $2,800/month (3-month minimum) | $2,600/month (6-month lease).
Guest Suite: $2,500/month (3-month minimum) | $2,300/month (6-month lease).
For Private Room Renters, our cats are going to be at the premise until mid-year 2027, please be aware.

**Guest Access & Parking**
Self Check-In: Secure lockbox for easy, contact-free arrival.
Parking: One dedicated underground parking spot is included for long term renters only (an elevator takes you directly up to the garden courtyard). Short term renters is $150 per month upon availability.
Street Parking: Plenty of street parking is available for a second car or guests.
Accessibility Note: Because this is a 2nd-floor, 2-story loft, stairs are required. It is not suitable for guests with severe mobility issues or wheelchairs.

**Pet Policy**
We are proud pet parents to our own rescue cats, and our beautiful gated community is very pet-friendly! Well-behaved cats and dogs are welcome with a pet fee and deep cleaning fee. Please just let us know about your furry family members when you inquire. (Note: If you are doing the private room rental while we are in town, you must be comfortable living with our friendly cats, and we probably won't accept pets until our cats are relocated).

Tenant Requirements
Because this is our personal home, we are looking for responsible, stable tenants who will treat it with care. We will kindly ask for a background check, proof of income, and a strong credit history before finalizing the lease.

Bonus: Need a Car?
For guests relocating to California, we have a pristine 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLB250 SUV available for rent. Let us know if you'd like to bundle a vehicle with your stay to make your move completely seamless!

Long term renters are responsible for all utilities.
We are hoping for renters that can commit to long term leasing starting Feb 2027.

  • Tawny Y.
"Even though people are good about picking up their dogs’ poo, not everyone is a responsible dog owner. I rarely ever see any leash-less dogs. However, some people claim their dogs are service dogs when they’re out of control. Most places here do not like big dogs in the complexes. "
  • Trulia User
"PASADENA is so friendly and quaint, we love it! It is a very family-first city. There’s no other place we’d wanna be!"
  • Trulia User
"Dogs are not allowed in my apartment building. Maybe a near by apartment allows pets but I rarely see people walking dogs in this area"
  • Trulia User
"All is well… live, love and laughter… thrift stores prove that giving back is everything. I would invite folks from all over California here. "
  • Trulia User
"Friendly/ approachable neighborhoods and neighbors…. Pet friendly Community/ equal opportunity, love and respect 🫡 "
  • Trulia User
"We moved back up here from Newport Beach just before the pandemic. Aside from the lack of ocean, it’s hard to beat this area. There’s something for everyone, whether you love the outdoors or the Old Town vibe. Even though I sell more real estate in other areas, I love living in this one."
  • Trulia User
"Lots of people and their dogs. Walking score high. But. Very busy for sure. Friendly neighbors Lots of restaurants and coffee tea shops "
  • Trulia User

"This is an absolute amazing neighborhood! It is not the type where your neighbors stay inside all day and never come out, or the type who are always nosy. It is perfect! At night there is no parties going on until like 3:00 or anything! It is quiet and nice, in the morning the birds are tweeting and you see people walking their dogs, biking, or just jogging! I totally recommend this neighborhood!"
  • Michelle K.
"You see people out walking dogs all the time. Friendly neighbors, tree-lined streets, quiet traffic. "
  • Joanna G.
"It’s well-maintained and near shops. It has friendly neighbors and it’s just a great place to live. Quiet at night but active during the day. Runners and dog walkers on the street. Bustling and historic and tree lined. "
