4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average**This is a review you need to read.** Our daughter is behind a bit. We've been through hurricane(s), a house fire, and were homeless for a while. Not jobless. Not broke, but we lost our home to a fire following a hurricane. Every single person at this school has been amazing! Academically it is very focused. There is this synergy, chemistry, and orchestral teamwork that exists from the Principal to the lunch staff. It breaks our hearts that our daughter is in her final year here at Westside. We will miss all of them so much. Do not be frightened from the demographics. We have had our children in paid, private schools, and the so-called richy, rich schools that were **supposed** to be the best. Westside Elementary is hands down the absolute **BEST SCHOOL** any of our children have been to. Tutoring before and after school. iReady, Class Dojo, meetings, and all of them constantly strive to help every single child succeed. There's a strong ribbon of faith that drives this school, and I cannot commend them enough for their proficiency as educators. You will notice every single person there truly cares. Thank you Westside Elementary for everything you do, all that you are, and how you have helped our daughter.Parent Review7y ago9 Reviews - Mainland High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is without a doubt the worst school i had the GREATEST displeasure of attending. It’s unorganized, unprofessional, and overall no bueno. I started attending my sophomore year and hated it so so much i knew i had to graduate early and so i did. Theres not a single staff member, teacher, or administrator that knows anything; for example if u ask if the schedule was changed or where seniors go for the walkout THEY WILL SAY IDK ASK SOMEONE ELSE. They took a whole school year to upload my transcripts on their system EVEN THO I HANDED IT TO THEM BEFORE THE SCHOOL YR EVEN STARTED so i guess they threw it away or lost them i dont know, but regardless, i should not have to march down to the counselors office week after week (because they will NOT reply to any emails and if they do they will not answer whatever u email them) just for them to upload my transcripts. Furthermore the staff is extremely unprofessional, of course its not all of them, but most if them act like students themselves, especially around student athletes. And today, on my last day of school, when i was supposed to the the walk/clapout i couldnt even be a part of it bc of how organized this school is. They kept me in the pac along with a group of other seniors who WITHOUT telling us why all the while the senior walkout was taking place. It wasnt until i decided to js leave along with a handful of other seniors that i finally headed outside to the courtyard js to see that the clap out was already over. The one time i wanted to participate in this school, the one time i had any sense of school spirit and i couldnt even be a part of it because of how damn unorganized this school is. This school doesn’t teach u anything about college, scholarships, how to apply for anything, nothing. And as an early graduate i didnt even get to take the SAT because the day seniors took it they said “youre a senior so you cant take it” but then i told them “im technically a junior but wtv, when can i take it as a senior?” They said seniors already took it. So that was it. No sat for me. This is the worse school to still be running and even the teachers agree.Student Review11mo ago13 Reviews - David C Hinson Sr Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers here are the meanest most disrespectful, unkind people i have ever come across! Alot of angry, rude, violent students as well. So no chance for the honest well behaved student, definitely would never recommend this school if you care about your childParent Review11mo ago22 Reviews - Check out schools near 1335 Fleming Ave #230.

"I live and work here. My commute is 20 minutes. On a busy day it is 25 minutes. Beach Street runs along the intracoastal waterway and it is common to see sail boats and dolphins while driving to and from work. "

"We have the coolest Thanksgiving a party every year down the street at Ormond beach brewery and there is also a Big party that goes on on the ocean side of the Granada bridge with bands and shops where every can enjoy our amazing river and bridge. These are really fun events that everyone should go to and check out for some good times and get the vibe for the community "

"Dogs are welcome, just check the breed and weight restrictions that some communities have. Lots of outdoor dining that is dog friendly, and the dog beach in Flagler is only 20 minutes away! Volusia county is NOT dog friendly on the beaches, no dogs are even allowed in your car. "
