4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWilliam Workman High School! A school that welcomes you with a warm loving heart. Workman gives students the opportunity to learn and know what it means to be a "LOBO". The teachers and staff are very nice and helpful that serve time to talk to students. This school has a lot of spirit, the rallies are really fun especially when it comes to the Lobo shout out. I attended this school from freshmen-junior year until I moved to rowland, and to be honest with you WORKMAN IS WAY BETTER THAN ROWLAND. Workman you get to learn and explore alot, at Rowland you dont get that much opportunity. Its very rare to find great and loving schools like Workman. Don't underestimate Workman, the people who bring this school down don't even know what this school is really about. Hacienda La Puente (HLPUSD) does a really good job in supporting Workman and other schools in the district. I really admire HLPUSD for having great schools like Workman. Please if you ever consider what high school to attend William Workman is the right place. This school helps you learn and explore what it means to be part of the Lobo Family. You won't forget the memorable memories here. ONCE A LOBO ALWAYS A LOBOStudent Review12y ago30 Reviews - Grandview, College Preparatory Academy

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids go to this school. There are some good teachers but there's also the teachers that don't really care for their students. I've asked for tutoring for one of my children and was told they couldn't provide tutoring because her California state test scores were at barely passing level. The teacher instead suggested maybe I consider holding her back a grade. This to me was not a solution because it would probably be the same thing the following year. There's a lot of bullying going on in this school the principle should really find a solution other then dividing the play ground in half and try to separate the students in recess. There's also restrooms how can two students who can not be near each other avoid using the restroom. Teachers also charge kids grizzly dollars to use the restroom this I think is ridiculous what if they don't have grizzly dollars they have to hold it all day that's not right this will cause the kids to have bladder problems in the future!Parent Review10y ago4 Reviews - Check out schools near 16405-16405 E Fairgrove Ave.

"Great place, but late at night might not be too safe. The streets are too dark. But overall I have lived here many years and no issues."

"I’ve lived here 8 yrs. My parents have lived here 40 years. The neighborhood has always been pretty peaceful, neighbors all friendly, and look after one another and we always inform each other if there is anything or anyone around that looks suspicious and doesn’t live around us. "

"I don’t own a dog. I would assume it would be ok to have a medium size dog because some of the backyards can be a little small. "

"I see people walking their dogs all the time. they are pretty welcoming. Doesn't bother me at all, as long as they pick up after their pets. "

"It’s getting better but the fireworks go off almost year round even though it is not permitted since it’s unincorporated Los Ángeles county. "

"Valinda is unincorporated LA County and therefore fireworks are illegal but that doesn’t seem to stop some residents of valinda and surrounding cities from blowing up fireworks year round and startling your dogs. "

"seriously, the best place for 4th of july. it's like the "Disneyland of the area". plus there are no street lights so it's only the lights on would be the show. also ur kids would have to come back when the street light is on because the corner will only be lit. "

"I’ve lived in this neighborhood since I was nine I am currently 27 years old. I have always felt safe in my neighborhood I’m able to walk my dogs at pretty much any given hour without disturbing my neighbors. It’s a friendly quiet neighborhood you don’t hear the loud noises. To be quite honest it’s usually very peaceful here"

"I've lived here for over 20 years and raised two children in the area. I am familiar with this block and it does stand out against the rest of the area: clean and lots of curb appeal thanks to owners who care about the neighborhood. Close to lots of amenities like shopping and dining options. Not too far from the Metrolink trains for commuters. The schools are decent and have improved over the years, although it does require active, involved parents to ensure student success. Very suburban so probably not too exciting for singles. But there are fun nearby "old towns" in Covina and Whittier that offer lots to do,"
