2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the worst school I have ever dealt with. Communication between teachers and administration is virtually nonexistent, leaving parents constantly chasing information that should be proactively shared. The newly formed CSS program is extremely disappointing. It feels poorly planned, incomplete, and lacking meaningful structure. Instead of providing appropriate academic and behavioral support, it functions more like a glorified day care. Expectations are low, follow-through is inconsistent, and there is little evidence of intentional instruction or progress monitoring. The school environment itself is equally troubling. The building is old, depressing, and visibly neglected. Cleanliness is a serious concern—there are bugs, both dead and alive, throughout the building. The overall atmosphere feels outdated and uncared for, which does nothing to support learning, emotional regulation, or student well-being.Additionally, the program site coach stated that she had no experience working with autistic children, yet is responsible for managing the CSS program. Emails routinely go unanswered, communication is minimal, and basic tasks that could easily be handled electronically are instead delayed or handled inefficiently. She is not approachable and seems unavailable, often appearing preoccupied with responsibilities outside of this school.Overall, this school feels stuck in the stone age—outdated practices, poor communication, and minimal accountability. Families of children who require structured, specialized support deserve far better than what is being offered here.I would not recommend this school, especially for students who need consistent, well-designed support programs.Parent Review4mo ago18 Reviews - Hendricks Avenue Elementary School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child comes home crying everyday. She gets bullied for having her legs fractured and how shes poor. I keep telling her teacher and she just says ‘we’ll look into’ and nothing happens. Do NOT send your children here.Parent Review5mo ago13 Reviews - Terry Parker High School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would rate my experience at this school as an average experience. The administrative stuff and the teachers are really nice and helpful. The security is screaming at the students to move. One gets used to it.. The school offers all kinds of clubs, nobody has to feel left out. The level of education is truly not the best, many kids are on their phones during class or cheat on tests, there's almost no homework for non IB students. That has to change. There were some fights, especially at the end of the school year, because kids got bored. In overall Terry Parker High School is an okay school, which can still improve.Student Review8y ago6 Reviews - Check out schools near 2003 Dunsford #100.

"San Marco is arguably the most dog friendly neighborhood in Jacksonville. Two wonderful daycare and grooming businesses are in relative walking distance, as well as a vet. A mom “n’ pop, all-natural pet market, is centrally located for basic pet supply needs. There are an abundant number of well maintained parks with dog cleanup stations on-site, including a fenced in dog park. Traffic is moderate with low speeds, which eases concerns on walks. Most restaurants allow dogs and provide thoughtful accommodations, especially in the hotter months. "

"San Marco has a sleepy town feel with that bustling city atmosphere. People are friendly and helpful and I love being able to walk to everything whil3 also being able to keep safe. "

"Dog friendly. Dog parks. Regular parks. Some dog friendly businesses. Many people own dogs. Some people actively feed stray/ferrel cats which is distracting and spreads disease. "

"School take in and release are somewhat slower. The rest of the day now is great with the new interchange for I- 95. A lot of new eatery and service business are here again. "

"I like the neighborhood, situated south of downtown, along the St. John’s River. The only drawback to living here is that there is not a grocery store in the near vicinity, meaning I have to drive to get groceries. If not for that, I would probably not drive at all in the neighborhood."

"It's safe but too many cats. Too many mosquitoes from flooded alleys. Old buildings, watch out for musty smells from air conditioning units falling apart, not sure landlords will fix. Would not recommend after Hurricane Irma flooded these streets."
