5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA lot of bullying goes on at this school, especially to the Caucasian students. Some teachers are also bullies. The middle school at teacher bullied my child. The principal is inapproachable. The atmosphere is horrible. There is no fun at this school. Art class is considered work. There were some excellent teachers and some horrible teachers..mainly the art teacher. This is not a safe place for Caucasian students.Parent Review4mo ago - Westminster High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe adults in the building don’t care about the students all they care about is getting paid, if they really cared then maybe the kids there wouldn’t be ditching and not showing up or maybe they wouldn’t have a 3 out of 5 star rating I don’t recommend sending kids here at all no kid that goes to Westminster high school is going to go to college they don’t teach you anything and what they do teach ain’t helpful for the kids GPA’s again I do not recommend sending your kids to this school.Other Review7mo ago - Iver C. N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagegreat school, very fun. some of these reviews say there were no school field trips, but that's a lie. coming from a STUDENT, we has plenty. last year I was in band, and we went on a field trip down town and saw an orchestra play, and then we went to taco bell for lunch. also some of the reviews say there is not a 8th grade trip, there is!!! I'm not an 8th grader so I'm not sure where they went, but i remember seeing all the 8th graders get on buses and left the 6th and 7th graders at school :/. there were quite a few fights, but every school has fights, there's no solving that.Student Review3y ago - Check out schools near 8224 Vallejo Street.

What Locals Say about Denver

"It’s a dangerous place. Gunshots, helicopters, SWAT teams, high people in the park, police raids every weekend. "
- Rob Kancilia

"My commute to downtown Denver is short and easy. Lowry is very conveniently located to both central Denver and DIA"

"A lot of dog owners and everyone is good at keeping their dog on leash or in their yard. There are cats that live in the neighborhood and none of the dogs have attacked or harmed any of them in the 2 years I’ve been here. "
- Sara Beldt

"Easy trails, small creek and lots of green parks with mature trees. Very peaceful yet plenty of young fun families that like to be outdoors. "

"Dog owners are everywhere! Very friendly, most people pick up after their dogs. Very few off leash. "
- Thomas Greene
- Resident

"They would like the walkability and the access to all of the different parks and resources. They would also love how dog friendly mostly everywhere is. However, they would not like the amount of dog waste that is left in some places (left unattended, it prevents other dogs from wanting to “go potty” in those areas)"

"I used to love this neighborhood, but it has gone downhill the past couple of years. If I had children, I would not feel comfortable letting them play in the front yard due to cars consistently driving over the speed limit. "

"It’s very welcoming community, is the city, so you’re going to find that trash bins in your alleyway sometimes, however, the sense of family in the community is strong. Parents play with their kids in the park, people will gather for outdoor activities, jog, play with their dogs. For me, it’s a perfect blend. Just outside the mischief, but close enough when you need it."
