3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI did contract work, providing services to a student for two years and it is very disappointing to see how poor our education system has become. I attended classes with the student and shared their experience and honestly feel the district struggles to be much more than a daycare. The majority of classes are no more than "free time" where the students watch YouTube on school issued Chromebooks.I would move out of the district if my child was enrolled there.Other Review2mo ago2 Reviews - Lewis & Clark Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible. They really should hire properly trained new staff or closed the whole school down. The teacher to student ratio is too high. They only have time for the kids who can work independently, but no time for the kids who need a little help. They are unorganized. I was told I never registered my son for school when I went to the High school and fill out all the paper work, went all those stations, and talked to the principal....but I "never registered him". I had to change the bus drop off because of my work schedule. Everything was confirmed by the school and the bus company, but they still but him on the wrong bus. Called the school they assured all was fixed. Next day they did it again. My 6 year old son was walking around my neighbor until he thought to go to my neighbor's house. Thankfully his dad was working days, and was able to pick him up. I didn't find out what happened until 12am when I got off work. They took no responsibility for their actions. Hate is a strong word, but I hate that school and the stress they put my son through.Parent Review8y ago1 Reviews - Alton Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI would never recommend this school. The teachers are aloud to bully the students. The school bullies the parents when they try to speak about it. When your child misses their bus ro head home, they won't call you. They will just let you think your child is missing. They allow the high school students to ride the bus with the middle school. Had problems there. A high school student tried to stab my daughter with a pencil and the schools did nothing. Just not a good placeParent Review1y ago6 Reviews - North Elementary School

"The bus runs right near for someone who needs Public transportation. My commute to work is fairly quick, every once in a while there is a train on the track but other than that. The commute is ok in my book"

"This is a beautiful neighborhood with a lot of diversity. It has character and old fashion appeal. Large homes, duplex and apartments with its originality. The community has survived the worst although the love and spirit of the city is here. Perfectly located in the middle of everything, the smell of Fast Eddies Chicken or fried rice from the Hong Kong house decorates the air. I love it here, it’s safe with the beautiful mixture of people from all walks of life. Like with any city this area has its flaws, yet the flaws is what makes the beauty of it all!"
