"They would want to know that cleaning up after your dog is a must otherwise, you will be fined. So make sure you take care of owner responsibilities "
  • Inorman123
"I think it being an older veteran community with a small population creates a relatively safe and friendly neighborhood. "
  • Robert Mitchell
"Many people do not leash their dogs or pick up after them. As a responsible dog owner it irritates me to see off leash dogs that are not being picked up after. Neighbors often lets pets out to do their business when they do not have fences. "
  • Jimbean482
"Yeah they would love the parks at city and all other dog owners plus its closet to everything in area "
  • Megan V. W.
"There are lots of dogs and most people pick up after. There is some open space for dogs to roam/explore the woods, too"
  • Jason A.
"nice neighborhood, schools are ok as far as culture. teachers care and people around town are good to be around"
  • Sprevio
"Kids can still ride bikes on the street. A lot of people walking their dogs and kids. Quiet. The train seems to disappear the longer you lover here. I barely notice. My nephews loved it. They wanted to come over to watch the train. "
  • Sbpaluch
"Not too bad, is t long at all to get to Albany. Troy is close as well, Schenectady not far away either. Saratoga’s a bit further but still commutable for a trip up to the shops. "
  • Marah E.
"we see people walk their dogs up and down the street all the time, but the yards tend to be tiny. people also speed."
  • Eric D.
"Great Community!!! Affordable living and a collectively great group of first responders, the police is amongst the best there is in the capital region."
  • Terrip
"there is a park down the street. a lot of room to run at park kept mowed. a bike path is also behind park "
  • Edem D.
"i dont own a dog. But i see people walk their dogs around all the time. As long as you pick up after your dog, i believe you will be fine in this community."
  • Tanya P.
"The watervliet schools are not the best. It is centrally located with many things and places close by."
  • Renee
"I've lived here for almost twenty years,& I love it. it's very peaceful,& everyone get alone well. R.E.M "
  • Michelle
"We considered buying in this development. Learned (thankfully) before purchasing that the area several decades ago was a chemical dump for local steel mills nearby. Then we drove around surrounding area (Watervliet) and found that for this money there was a certain element of society we were trying to avoid. Recently purchased in Niskayuna and are much happier with our decision to pass on this development."
  • softredwinef
"A lot of Kids who go around stealing things left out side of any ones home. They Break in to cars. They cause problems ,The school is now closed. Nothing for any kids to do in that area. Back basketball courts our now gone. If your an older person they break your windows if they do not like you or just to give them something to do. They Litter on your property. Really it is not a family area any more. It is an area where you just live and if you need something to do go out side the limits of Maplewood.Quiet at times."
  • Gerald C.
"It's no wonder that this location is not more sought after especially with prices of gas skyrocketing and where many city budgets are in deficit, Watervliet is on track with a good Mayor. Close to Major shopping, highways, parks, recreation, schools. "
