My kids have attended Kingsford for 2 years and overall we have been pleased with the experience. Coming from years at private school we weren't sure what to expect. We quickly realized that in all subjects the curriculum was ahead of or on par with what was being taught at the private school and the class work is appropriately challenging. My main criticism of the school is that its bullying policy is not enforced and it seems as though some of the more troublesome students aren't appropriately dealt with which creates a disruption for entire classrooms. That said, we have been pleased with and impressed by the hands on approach of the school's leadership, particularly the principal and vice principal. Some of the teachers are exceptional and take seriously the need to adapt to different learning styles.

"The neighbors really make the neighborhood. We’ve made friends and feel a great sense of community here—the kids are friends, the parents are friends, and we host all kinds of events at our homes and the clubhouse from birthdays to baby showers."

"Living here almost 6 years, it’s close to major highways and metro. It’s not really what I would consider walkable but there are a few walkers here and there. Most people have lived in this area 15+ years. It has a nice bird community and it’s quiet. Never have problems with car break-ins/jackings or robberies. I feel safe here. Oh, and wegmans, costco, smoothie king, and a hotel is about a mile or less away. "

"We are very close to Fed Ex Field and there are events Big E vents where the entire family can enjoy not to mention football games and concerts also great dinning options Glenarden is 20 mins from Downtown Washington D.C and only 40 mins from Baltimore great central location for a up and coming neighborhood/ community. "

"My neighborhood is a quiet and safe. Mix family type,young families with kids and much older families who are empty nesters. Social interaction is at the most minimal. We have a rather friendly atmosphere."
