N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIt’s been my experience that the teachers and staff care about their students. Our teacher communicates with us regularly. Daily feedback is given on how well the day went. More in depth information is shared quarterly with a phone call and a report. We’re very satisfied with the work the school is doing.Parent Review1y ago - Richmond Hill High School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWhen it comes to child safety, this school falls drastically short. I have found that they ignore bullying issues particularly when it comes to students with IEPs and 504s. The bullying here is out of control. I scheduled meetings with admin only to be told that my concerns were unfounded even though there was video evidence of my bullyingParent Review2mo ago - Richmond Hill Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a military family, we have lived in many locations. This school has by far been the worst. There is no support for new incoming students as they transition from other locations. The level of bullying is outrageous. The IEP and 504 support is near null and void. If you do have a student needing that support make sure you stay on top of it to ensure services are being met. Because the bully is so intense and there is no support from counselors or staff, you will also need to ensure you take additional steps to ensure your child is being treated fairly. ( I say, as a parent, this is your job but I think most parents expect a level of protection while their kids are at school) Unfortunately, this school has an issue with not following through with repercussions, they also are not transparent about hazing that occurs. Now, I will address academics. If your student succeeds in school naturally, the academics are good. If you have a student needing additional support, please do not expect that to come from the school. Not to say that teachers do not try, there just simply aren't enough staff to provide support or to provide an environment that leads to support.Parent Review11mo ago - Dr. George Washington Carver Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal and assistant principal both need to be replaced they have created a prison like environment my one child used to love school before attending here and now absolutely hate school after going here the classroom teachers have been amazing but the administrators completely ruin this school it is absolutely time for new ones the principal herself is stuck up rude and over all just an unpleasant witchParent Review4mo ago - Richmond Hill Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am happy with RHES. Last year my daughter was at RHPS, where the administrative rules were more important than common sense. At RHES the staff and teachers are friendly, respectful, professional, and the connections classes (art, STEM, music, gifted) are taught by specialists who seem to love their subjects and teaching the children about them. One improvement would be to include a language class or incorporate a foreign language in the core classes. However we have had a great experience with this school.Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 973 Young Way.

"Richmond Hill has amazing schools!! Mainsteet area has it’s issues! It’s where I currently live. Im currently looking for a new place to live. A lot of packages stolen off of front porches. Cars get egged. Parking on the street is a nightmare. A lot of issues in the neighborhood. Most neighbors take good care of their lawns and are good neighbors but the houses are just on top of one another. Richmond Hill City is nice place to live. Not to big and not to small."

"I’m new to Richmond Hill as of July. We moved here for the schools, which are excellent. The city is seemingly coping well with the phenomenal growth it’s experiencing, but hopefully the small town charm and character is preserved. Walking areas downtown would go a long way to stem the sprawl that’s starting to gain momentum. "
- Meljbelfield

"The small subdivision holds a St paddy’s day, July 4th and Halloween parade, where everyone comes together and walks the mile loop around the subdivisions. Golf carts are decorated, people dress up and afterwards neighbors congregate at the front pond and eat together. Each home brings a dish to share.Several community yard sales take place throughout the year. "
