Most children (including me) here don't want to learn. Some teachers try to make learning engaging, but most just try to shove knowledge into our brains. The principal has shown herself to be very capable, accessible and innovative. And the staff have all been extremely student-focused. They are creative, caring and competent. Our kids have thrived at PES, enjoying everything from the new building to Chinese immersion to orchestra to the book fair and more. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageChurchill high school is the best public high school in Maryland. It provides its students with extensive resources. The teachers are extremely intelligent, experienced and truly care that their students learn the subjects they teach. The teachers and administration is very responsive and caring. The students get along with each other and for the most part are kind and focused on learning and doing well in school. A large number of AP classes are offered in almost every subject. My daughter did extremely well, got into a top ten university and is attending that university. Churchill prepared her very well for the challenges and rigors of the top university and she is doing very well there.
