Disappointing Program Direction and Coaching PerformanceThe wrestling program has been frustrating to watch due to what appears to be a lack of leadership, limited coaching knowledge, and a consistently poor competitive record. There seems to be little development of athletes, questionable match strategies, and minimal progress from season to season.A successful program requires a coach who can motivate athletes, teach sound fundamentals, and build a winning culture. Unfortunately, those elements have been missing, and the team continues to struggle as a result.At some point, changes need to be considered. The wrestlers deserve stronger leadership, better instruction, and a coach who can move the program

WORST SCHOOL EVER!!! It feels like a prison here. School doesn't end until 4:15. Teachers are rude, controlling and do not teach!! We don't have lessons at all. We just sit silently on our computers. There are fights and the school has been threatened. I do not feel safe or happy here. Our lunch, which is our only break, is barely 20 minutes. The food is disgusting. We NEVER go outside at all. I've been here for over a year and have only gone outside maybe 2 or 3 times. The sports teams require extremely long hours. The school cares more about our test scores than what we learn. We have an EXTREME amount of tests and district tests. Everything here is for a grade. Every day we have a test in almost every class. The buses are terrible. They cram like 80 kids into the bus. Everyone sits 3 to a seat and it is miserable and gross. We have the same classes everyday, and everything is so repetitive. We aren't allowed to talk at all in class. It's like the teachers hate the students. This is the worst school I have ever been to in my life. Do NOT come here, you will deeply regret it. Sending your kid here would be cruel.

As a parent who transferred my two daughters to this district, I can confidently say this school exceeded all our expectations. The transition, which we initially worried about, turned out to be seamless thanks to the welcoming community and outstanding staff. The academic programs here are truly impressive. My daughters have been challenged appropriately while receiving the support they need to thrive academically.What sets this school apart is the quality of the teachers. They genuinely care about each student's success and well-being, going beyond just delivering lessons. The educators here take time to understand their students as individuals and create an environment where learning feels both rigorous and supportive. You can tell they're invested in helping every child reach their potential.The social aspect has been just as great. Despite being new to the district, both my daughters found their place quickly and formed meaningful friendships. The school culture fosters inclusivity and helps students connect with one another naturally. There's something special about a place where kids can transition in and immediately feel they belong. The town as a whole has that welcoming small town Texas spirit that makes this place truly special. Whether you're cheering on the team at Friday night football games or participating in the various school functions throughout the year, there's always an opportunity to connect with other families and become part of the community fabric.

Wonderful committed teachers and staff. Mrs Kelly (math) is amazing at keeping children engaged and learning an often difficult and confusing subject for this age. She really prepares them for high school.
